I hope more people will be able to wear collanders on their heads qualifying as "religious headgear"

It might actually get through, but you have to take note in the Flying Spaghetti Monster's roots: He stemmed from an outraged science teacher seeing religion being taught in place of evolution because of the pseudo-intellectual argument of "balance" and "let the students decide". Pasafarianism is a light-hearted criticism of organized religion.

Oh, and I think I like IPU more. :V

It is ridiculous to teach religion like it is comparable to science. It is misleading.

Teaching a particular religion also has undertones of "our religion is the right one", which is intolerance.

My opinion: Why can't all schools be secular? IMO religion should be taught at school and religious gatherings, not school. We have science now, history, no need to learn religion at school if it isn't useful for one's future. I am kinda biased against religion though.

I've always been an atheist, but i do get why some people choose to be religious.
In my school, religion is more of a class to learn how to handle certain situations in life, such as the loss of a family member, or just to learn more about yourself.

I think that there are alot of people who don't really get what religion is about. The main goal of religion (in my opinion) should be to make your life, and the life of others, easier/better.

Well, ways to get over things like that quicker. Some people find it hard to accept things like that.

I would call my self a Christian.
but, I do believe about the big bang theory.
See I think that God created the Big Bang that made everything else.
But something scares me, death. whats after death? Is it just blackness forever? will I see?
Just..I cant get my head around "whats after death?"

Sometimes while about to fall asleep I just stare up at the ceiling and think about whats going to happen, will I be reincarnated? will I just lay in a box forever? or will I be with God or will I be in Hell?

Its just hard to think about whats happens after death...

Being dead is like not being born. Remember the events in the 1800's? No? Well, you don't know that. Same thing will happen when you die.

I don't know what I believe, to be honest. What I do think is that however we came to be, it's likely out of human comprehension so it's not worth wasting time over. The important thing isn't why we're here, but where we are going from here.

why would life be "nothing at all, then at a random point you're born, then you die, then nothing at all forever"? that'd be boring

Eh, I just assume that we won't feel anything. We won't be conscious. It will be over, y'know? After a few generations, no one will even remember you, unless you were pretty important.

noone will remember you forever anyway. the Earth will eventually die, and nobody will remember it.

what is your existence? a tiny speck on the infinite sheet of the universe.

do whatever. noone will remember forever.

Hard to think about nothingness, indeed.

As your conciousness and what makes you is only your brain, if it dies, you do not exist anymore. Of course, we've got additional data stored in organs (not every single thing is stored into the brain, which's been proved from transplants) such as taste.

If your brain were to be stored somehow (frozen or whatever) and then implanted into a new living being, you would be able to live all over again.

Now, what about spirits? Do they exist? Can they interact with anything? Do they hold human form?
I don't think they would be able to control thier movement, and just drift away forever. But what would be the point? Also, gravity probably wouldn't affect them.

I would rather be safe in my brain than drifting in space forever.
