I mean, how do I change it to read one of those formats?

you don't, afaik, unless it's a fancy hex editor with those features

you'll need to figure out the encoding by looking at the data bytes

(and first of all, know what kind of data you're looking at, so you don't waste your time)

Can I give a download for the folder with all the stuff?

Arisotura

well I won't be looking for it, I'm just giving tips

I'd rather you avoid giving out game files in public, though -- better find someone who's willing to help you and give the files to them

Yeah, but I just don't know what you're talking about when you say "look at the data bytes" or when you're saying that there are certain formats for Japanese Text. Would you need another editor to edit that format of Japanese Text? I don't know because this is really hard and all I want to do is translate a game! :(

well, I suggest you learn about some base things, like text encodings, binary, etc; that'll be very helpful for you

wee errors

I followed the tutorial up to the point where you run the BAT.

It asks if it's encrypted, and I say "no"

I type in romfs.bin, and I'm 100% sure that it's where it is supposed to be. I get "error unpacking romfs"

edit: tried using the extractor by itself....worked fine

I've never had anything but trouble with these "all-in-one" things. Just use ctrtool directly or via a batch file.

I've followed the tutorial exactly, but when i launch HANS with the right setting, it will hang with a screen with text like "invalidated iCache". What i'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advantage
:D

I got it working with Homemenuhax. Ironhax is maybe not compatible with HANS :P
