As many of you have probably noticed, there's a lot of game that wants to bring back that late 90's collect-a-thon game feeling. And while many of them are still in development, I want to know what's your favourite!

________________________________________________________________________________
A Hat in Time

This has everything to be an awesome game: it has time travel, a kid with a hat, and even the mafia!
________________________________________________________________________________
Yooka Laylee
The Banjo Kazooie spiritual successor, even the development team looks promising, with a lot of people that also worked on Banjo Kazooie, this sure will be awesome.
________________________________________________________________________________
Kiwi 64
This one's already out. Kiwi 64 is an awesome Banjo Kazooie clone, the graphics and the music seems to come straigh from a Nintendo 64.

Macbat 64
The sequel to Kiwi 64. It's not out yet but there's a two level alpha that's playable and this one will be way longer than Kiwi 64. Even better, Kiwi is in each levels as an NPC an Grant Kirkhope voiced a monkey! Yeah! That's right! The behind Banjo Kazooie's music!

Banjo-Tooie. Best platformer on the Nintendo 64.
Besides Super Mario 64.

None of them. Where's Super Mario 64 2 / Super Mario Sunshine 2?

Oh right, they will never exist. Sorry, my bad.

Banjo Tooie isn't new.
Edit: 200th thread in the gaming section btw.

I want Rayman to be another 3D collectathon. Probably not to the extent like the Rare games, but the same style as Rayman 2. Otherwise, we're just overdue for Rayman, seriously. Last Rayman thing was Rayman Adventures, and that was a disappointment that it was for mobile.

Is Pokémon Go technically a collectathon game?

Yes, just like any Pokemon game, you want to catch/collect them all.

A Hat in Time is still alive? I haven't heard from it in awhile and I thought it died...

Well then, Pokemon Go is definitely pushing the lead in making these series of games a huge comeback. Here we have a park with around 15 Pokestops (it's quite big) and literally I would estimate no less than a 1000 people gathering there day and night to play the game. It's amazing, never before were there so many people there. And I'm actually riding my bike now everyday. :)

I've been following the return of the collect-a-thon for a while now. I'm mostly looking forward to Yooka Laylee, but I'm also waiting on a Hat in Time.

A little while back I bought this new one called FreezeME, which was an OK start to the collect-a-thon revival. The controls needed work and the game in general was unpolished but I liked it because it was the first new collect-a-thon I'd played in years.

The thread was asking for our favorite game, not the most recent one.
