Because my computer broke down, I am getting a new computer fo Christmas. Now, I wanna be specific with my dad so he doesn't buy another Windoes XP with crappy specs. I want to tell him what computer I want. Vista, 7, 8, or 10? What specs? And if I tell him the color it is (if it has one... >_> ) and most of the computers with that color have those specs...

Anyways, I wanna know what you guys think I should get. Give me a link to one you would suggest, because I don't wanna ask my dad and end up with those only being in a Walmart or Target or whatever that is in a super far location.
So name, specs (if they are listed), and link if there is one.

Yeah, Windows 7 is the best Windows OS of them all. Except that now there actually is a Windows Multimedia API patch by ReactOS that can actually boost Windows 10 performance.

And if you plan to use the computer to render stuff, make sure to get one with loads of RAM. And preferably, a NVIDIA Geforce graphics card if you're an avid gamer. I would suggest building a desktop yourself, as it is much cheaper than buying a custom made desktop or a laptop.

I personally like the HP Spectre x360 but it's pricy.

A good alternative is an Asus X550ZA laptop.

if Win7 computers come with shitty specs, get a Win10 one and upgrade it to Win7 yourself

you also didn't specify whether it's going to be a laptop or a desktop. For the latter, buy separate parts and build it yourself, it's more fun, less expensive and gets you better specs than buying premade computers. (back in 2007, I had a Dell desktop with a decent CPU and a really crap GPU. replacing the GPU made a big difference in games)
