How about a mute button on threads? So it won't say NEW whenever someone makes a post or reply in a thread.
To make is simple, let's say I went to every forum and marked them read (which I have done), and I don't want to have to bring up a thread pointlessly to mark it read or have to tap the button again. So there is a mute button on all threads so I can mute a thread I don't care for. That way, a forum or thread won't nhave the NEW notification next to it.
Get it?

Oh well, if you know you don't care about the thread, you can just not view it and mark all forums read when you finish reading the threads that you want to read. Though yes, you can't see which thread has new posts when you are on the forum listing page. This seems like a nice new feature to add though. :)

ignore the thread

But the NEW notification pops up when you go to Kuribo64.net/board
What if you think it's someone replying to you or someone replying on your thread?

once you're done reading shit, mark the forum as read to get rid of the remaining NEWs

And then another NEW pops up and you go to check.
Then you get tired.

too bad.

anyway, you never know when you might get interest into a thread that you'd never checked before. it happens to me, and I don't check all the new threads on the board, far from it

Actually, I think putting the number of threads that have new posts under the "new" text in the forum listing would be nice. I've actually been clicking on the ">>>" to get to the latest new post in the forum, and I get annoyed when I click back to the forum listing and the "new" is still there, but to find out that it wasn't just one thread with new posts, but multiple others. Basically, it tells people how many "new" there are.

That would help the problem, too. So when you bring it up, it clears the notifications

It doesn't clear the notifications, you still have to read the threads or mark the forum read. It just tells people how many threads have new posts.

Yeah, but still, it would be a great addition.

I misunderstood what you said for a second.
