What would happen if in the future, a really good and contributing user here, happened to be someone like GreggGlem the whole time, and you found out? Would you ban for being a 'dupe of a moron', or would you keep them for, despite ban evasion, growing up and conttibuting well?

If a user shows that they have really improved and their presence wouldn't be an issue, we let them stay. It can happen either if they ask for an unban or if we see samples of their behavior at other places.

However, we don't like when they try to dodge their ban. It usually ends up worse for the user -- unless then ban was wrong to begin with, and the user didn't go and do things like spam the shit out of the place as a retaliation.

Let's say it's suspicious. There's always the possibility of them having read old threads before joining, but... yeah.

They generally run their water through a loop instead of constantly consuming new water. Not very wasteful, but I wouldn't try drinking their water.
