Here's mine (keep in mind I used only around three)

1. imgur

It's the best out of all the three I've used. It's fast, convenient, and its storage space is gigantic. Probably the worst thing about it is its community but thank goodness that I don't give a damn about participating in its community.

2. crapobucket

I used it at first, but now I kinda hate it. The load times are atrocious and its bandwidth limit, though you can work with it, sometimes if you post in a really high traffic site, it'll break all of your images if you exceed the limit, and it'll reset itself in the month. I personally think imgur outclasses it.

3. imageshit

self-explanatory, lol

It used to be a reliable image hosting site but shit went down when it "updated" *cough cough downgraded* so that you get a 30 day trial period before your crap gets locked up and deleted eventually, leading to broken image links EVERYWHERE by people who used to use it before it got downgraded. Why the hell would you use it when there are lots of other image hosting websites that let you upload whenever you please before getting hit by a 30 day time limit and therefore buying "prenium" to use it. It's a scam and a waste of money and I hope it dies a horrible death.

Also, I think it used to use pagination and now it favors infinite scroll bullcrap.

Annnnnnnd when I tried accessing it, it uses https. Wonderful, just wonderful, but I'm not surprised that it's trash now, so better have a trash connection as well.

what happened with Imageshit is the same problem that will eventually happen with reckless cloud providers, but this is offtopic

let's also cite tinypic which is infamous for reusing URLs of deleted images, leading to old images becoming something entirely different (and sometimes inappropriate)

That Tinypic incident sounds pretty funny. I've never seen it before, because whenever someone uses Tinypic, it has always been deleted.

Imgur is the only one I really care about, since all of the other ones are constantly 404ing.

As for Dropbox, it isn't necessarily bad (Although I've never used before), but there's constantly people posting private links that only they have access to.

Related to this thread: is there any specific reason "imageshit" is censored (changed to "Imageshit")? Is it just because you hate it that much?

Doesn't seem like it, at least, not in the preview reply thing.

testing:
images_hack
imageshack

What? I didn't bypass any filter, I'm just talking about hacking images! Duh.

I like Imgur the best because it just works and works well (for the time being).

look for old threads on forums, they're worthless because Imageshit deleted the images that were embedded

there was also that shit where they'd force users from certain countries to fucking register to view images

Imageshit needs to die

Oh god, I hate 4shared. Mediafire is cowardly and stupid, but at least it works when it should, not this thing.

I always imagined you censored imageshackles because the broken images advertised it as "click and discover our toxic waste dump."

Should tinypic be censored too?

yeah there's that, and dunno about tinypic yet

the worst part with 4shared (and the whole reason why it gets filtered) is that it forces you to register to download their shit

they even ask you for your real name, which I had filled with "FuckYou 4shared" (and might have given the creds to Bugmenot)

the filters are here kind of to give those hosts a middle finger, but mostly to deter people from using them so that others don't have to suffer from poor host choices

Are there other image hosting sites that we can use aside from imgur? Something we can fall back on just in case imgur becomes like imageshucks.

Imgur by far the best. If you want gifs, try gfycat

Can we count DropBox? It's by far the best general purpose (And free) file host I've come across. I use it for images whenever needed.

there isn't really anything safe, Dropbox is leaning towards the bad side too (that popup constantly prompting you to register, although for now you can skip it)

as long as you set permissions properly, not like those derps who give you 403 links

I've switched from MediaFire to DropBox as soon as it took down like, two of my noncopyright infringing files.

Those algorithim-checking bots for copyright infringement really need to die.

My own Servers are my Image Hosting (plus a whole lot more).
I mean, it's private, it's Ad-free, it's Bullshit-free, and I've got a shitload of more space available.

I normally just use ImgUp which you don't need to register to, and it's simple to use.

As for file hosting, the only reason I have a 4shited account is because I found, if you search Bing, that a lot of pirated/cracked software is unfiltered and the direct link is provided on Bing, not on 4S though, I only used it for when I needed CPS1, CPS2 and Neo Geo stuff for my modded PSP-3000, then never used it again.

However I'd prefer to stick to a physical HDD for backups, personally.
