as for the whole 'gravity won't work' point: it IS possible to replicate it, if you're willing to put effort into it.

This aside, the video doesn't show much, but at least you can model maps all right. The bowser retexture is nice as well. I'll be trying the download soon.

also, don't give up. Your current work is good, and if you have motivation you could probably pull off gravity. :)

Ok, we have a small problem.. No matter how MANY times I tried to import some models even on emulator the game won't boot them whatsoever now even since you guys reported me the R4 results, thanks a lot btw. For info Observatory model is 6K polygons (4K in the image below) aside from its 2K KCL and do not exceed 64k texture cache, I'm quite sad now, if I can't import levels this is not gonna help progressing because it's not like I'm not willing to dedicate myself in.

I think you should try the level/other-object models hacks without the player models hacks. I suspect the player model is crashing the game.

It does not, I tried so many things hence the CAPS on "MANY" (I mean using clean ROM etc).

I have to agree with harriet tubmansons I think this will fail if you can't even import the levels without overloading the limitations of the ds, plus he/she mentioned the gravity I can't see this finished hack being really all that good without it, but I guess keep trying who knows.

This project looks pretty promising, I really like how well you were able to get a low poly rosilina working it looks nice!

@pacmainia&luigi I thought it was obvious but it is mainly to prevent me (you) not to fall for something like 10 seconds which is nervewrecking when debugging but since even I haven't the chance to play the observatory and can't do the bubble shield thingy that bring you back to last position this look dumb I agree, also don't blame me for being alone on making assets and mechanics at the moment I do my very best it is difficult to do and I'm only beginning so...

you could use warps.
you may have to use asm and make it that it warps you no matter what you are doing in the game, though.

If you don't want the game to make you loose a life when you fall, you can place a large warp. See Under the Moat and Over the Rainbows for examples.

Yeah I was interesed in coolcool mountain teleport thingy at the bridge (warps) but since you can't scale them (avoiding putting bunch next to each other) I put them aside maybe exits would do but would not prevent from falling until death plane is there a way to move it btw ?
