People keep accusing him of tier whoring. What do you think?

And is it just me, or just Sakurai nerf the top-tier character just because the character is top-tier? I thought difficulty curve factors a lot in those kinds of characters, which supposedly balances them, I guess.

If ZeRo was tier whoring, he'd main Bayonetta. He plays best with characters who he likes and take skill to use.

Yeah daddy Sakurai is just being a dick this patch. If this game is going to continue to suck, I'm either going back to Melee, or jumping the Pokken bandwagon.

Melee is even more unbalanced than Smash 4, if you're going to complain about balance problems. Kirby, for example, is hopeless trash. Even Pichu has some potential to be good. Still love it, but the differences between the characters who suck and the characters who suck less and the characters that are monsters are much bigger.

These minor glitches have been happening to me on For Glory. Nothin' special or amazing tho.

Also, where the f**k is everybody? There's like 5 people on.

The Smash apocalypse has come O.O

I stopped playing for glory on the wii u because it sucks (Mainly train online against the top players here at my country)

I only use for glory on the 3DS because I inserted custom music on it, so I need to make use of it.

If you have seen an Orange Corrin around with the "?" face mii rekting you around, that's me :>

So finally custom music and textures are a thing now on 5.5.1.

I uploaded this video mainly testing to see if the replay feature to youtube will work with custom stuff on.

The music is a remix of Remilia Scarlet theme I found on smashcustommusic.

Too bad making your own skin packs require having the entire game on the PC though.

God, who is that Mario player....

Cool, I'd like to upload videos (I've made custom music before). They work, do they? Oh, do uploading videos require the latest version of the game?

But yeah, getting the entire game on my PC isn't a problem for me. Storage is not really a problem so far as much as file organization, lol.

Why? He is a very good player. You just see him failing here. He has issues with characters that have disjointed hitboxes (as mario lacks range) so he asked me to play with Shulk so he can train to fix that issue :P (and he didn't knew Buster Art is capable of breaking shields, since no one uses Shulk here besides me and another guy)

And dunno about the latest version. I think you don't need it since it only asks your youtube username. The version shouldn't matter since it is specified on the top left corner. Haven't tried though.

Don't post it on Miiverse though, I'm sure mods will delete the video and probably ban you for 'criminal activity'.

Also replays can't be more than 3 mins long (for some reason :/)

I guess. After all, is the match done online? I can't stand online, holy crap. I guess he's a decent player, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to constantly approach with d-air or follow up u-throw with d-air and THEN u-special rather than using u-air. I notice he doesn't use his fireballs for spacing at all, which is something I'd do now and then, especially for ranged players. Anyway, if this match is done online, it would explain a lot for weird inputs like shielding, blocking the hit, and then trying to punch at 0:14 or whiffing u-air after d-throw+u-tilt pretty badly. It would explain how he failed to punish you at 1:41 or how he whiffs a lot of his attempts at grabbing. He's also getting greedy and reckless, especially on u-smash later in the match.

*face hardens* I'll never touch Miiverse. I hate that place with a passion. And I know how they are with their shitty attitude with Project M.

Oh, I guess I'll get a replay in for the shits and giggles at some point. I don't know. I hate Youtube too, but not as much as Miiverse.

Yeah, I see the faults though. We played Online and there was that tiny slight delay which sucks. Also, this was the second match we had. He started getting better in the later matches, where he noted what can be punished and whatnot.

As for the fireballs, they are ineffective against shulk because I can swat them easily away with a Nair which has little endlag, and the fireballs leave mario open (he uses them against other characters for spacing). For the missed jabs, I believe he tried to hit me with that because Shulk frame data is horrible, and using Mario's 2 frame jab would be effective to stop any attack or grab, but I spaced it well, and I guess he still doesn't have Shulk's range in account.

As for the whiffs, I think they are because I mixed my DI. Usually I would DI away from the Dthrow, so he went there to get the Up B, but I actually did a 'bad' DI so he didn't got the up b.

About the Uair strings, is because I can easily jump away since I was in Jump art. he usually goes for the Ally combo at low percents, and Dthrow to up b works on a quite long range if you read their DI. As for the U smash, It's actually one of Mario's better moves, so understand why he uses it that much, but I sort of expected them since I played a lot before with him.

You sound to know a lot of the game, would be nice if we could play, but if you can't stand online, it's okay then (we always play offline when we can, but we couldn't yesterday)

And yeah, Miiverse sucks. To the point saying 'PM' they censor the post.
Would be interesting how a replay with custom stuff would be treated there lol.

Yeah, online is terrible.

Well, it's better than Brawl's at least.

The tiny delay DOES suck. Competitive smashers tell me that online is a bad way to learn due to this input delay, and it forms bad habits where you're used to one environment and it hampers how you play live. You can reconcile the two worlds, sure, but that requires effort.

Yes, you can swat them away, but Fireballs' primary points are for spacing, pressure, and approach from damage, not damage in of itself. Fireballs can pressure you to dodge them or hit them and helps Mario space them. Again, you can just swat them away, but they can disrupt your moves or cause hitstun and helps Mario more safely close in on you.

I think the Mario player's problem is HIS lack of spacing on his part I think. But again, online can really screw up how you space your attacks so I don't wholly blame it on him. I often fail to punish attacks properly online because of this small, but significant delay, and it's frustrating to deal with.

And yeah, your DI might be good, but Mario's u-air is safer and doesn't have the vulnerable ending lag after helpless state. It's okay to use u-special immediately after d-throw though, but for close follow-ups, I find u-air more reliable. I use u-special usually only after I run out of jumps when I combo u-air into itself.

U Smash is a great move and I use it frequently as well, and I understand that if I'm on one stock and you're on two and have a high percent, I'd probably use it more too but I feel his play is teetering on tilt, and that's bad. I go through this too, so I know how that feels like. My main flaw, I think, is that I play a bit too aggressively. Still, competitive smashers have said that my combo game is strong and I'm an overall good player. It's my playstyle and my lack of experience with human players (and therefore virtually all my match ups are foreign to me) that are my biggest flaws.

I can technically play online but I'd rather not duke it out. I'd rather we just chill out and beat up Wario or something. I get more fun if people cooperate, though I understand that that may not be the most fun or something. Different tastes. I might be a strong or competent player, but I'm a casual player at heart.

Ugh.

But this online is pretty awful. I had to sit through lag and you can't imagine how many times I groaned at Smash 4's online.

I sort of grew accustomed to the delay though, since the most affordable speed is 2mb here (Third world countries problems :'v)

Yeah, though IMO, when I use Corrin, far away fireballs are more annoying due to the character lacking an effective move to eliminate them, but Shulk's Nair is really good against proyectiles in general, so there's that.

Heres another match which took place after that one, and you can sort of see Dair utility in disrupting any of Shulk's aerial attemps.

(I sort of 'give up' after I fail the second shield break punish, and I willing let me Usmash in the end because it was almost past 3 mins and I wanted to upload the battle lol)

But yeah, he knows that Uair is pretty good. He can do the multiple Uairs into Up B after a throw, it's simply that these videos might not be showcasing his extent of his ability at using Mario.

And yes... Usmash...that move gives me trouble lol, since it has invincibility and reverse Usmash is pretty good (and from a perfect pivot too, which this guy can use)

And I see. No problem then. I'm not one of those 'tourneyfags' (as people call them) because I do like enjoying playing casually smash since it's pretty fun (after all, it's a 'party' game, as Sakurai labels it)

I to this day still wonder why Nintendo decided to restrict 8-player Smash's stage selection. 8-player Smash on "illegal" stages work like a gem! I suppose it's just Nintendo's love for arbitrary restrictions, but hell, that's one sucky restriction. I never had this much fun before!

I suppose it's to prevent potential lag spikes with items or final smashes or something.

But yes, more 8 player stages would be nice.

I'm tired of playing the Omega 8 player stages because the blastzones are so close to the edge of the stage.

I thought about lagging issues, but no, the framerate was consistently good, so I think Nintendo is just "overprotective" or maybe single-player reasons (though they can just disable those in single player) or maybe crampiness (but why not let players decide to not pick a stage? Besides, Yoshi's Island from Melee is available and that's more cramped).

I've played in the more chaotic stages, Orbital Gate Assault WITH stage hazards and that craziness, and it's mostly smooth. In fact, the only time there was a lag spike was when the Cuccos were activated, but this happens in the "legal" stages too. I even had pretty much every explosive item on (this includes Blast Boxes, X-Bombs, Hoctate Bombs, and Smart Bombs) and the only frame rate drop was when the Cuccos were going crazy(as said earlier, this drop also happens in stages normally available too). All in all, it's mostly just a noisy match.
