Theorically, you can't. Once you close the original tab, the pop-up goes away with it too, but I guess if the website generated a very small video it would be bad. Maybe it's browser dependant? Or maybe only YouTube is allowed currently? You know what, I'm not even sure how it works exactly. I can't even right-click it to see what the hell it is.

But it actually does work. It also has a drop shadow behind it, if you count that as a border.

Actually, it does. I can't make it smaller than it appears in that picture. Doesn't prevent me from resizing it to fill the entire screen. Oh it will.

pretty sure you can make a functional (and more usable) Youtube clone with minimal HTML

for example, compare this board's HTML to that of Xenforo or vBulletin

today's new slew of Youtube bugs:

* if your video has trouble playing (buffering), it can happen that the video track keeps playing normally but the audio track fucking rewinds and stays desynced until you seek

* quite often when playing a video again, the 'loading' animation appears even though it's loading nothing, and stays until you seek or whatever

* old bug, but when you play a video again, sometimes it just stays stuck on the first frame until you do shit

it's cool and all, the young hipsters at Google/Youtube are getting better and better. when are they hiring real programmers, though?

they're better at fucking up the site.

they obviously can't improve their skills since
a) they don't use Youtube
b) they don't test their code, that's so 1990
c) Google/Youtube is a giant dehumanized system and it's impossible to contact somebody who isn't a bot with predefined requests

I'm just wondering, but why the hell do Youtube videos sound so quiet from my computer? Everything else plays at normal volume, but I have to turn up the volume for Youtube videos and Youtube videos only (the audio slider in the videos also seem normal to me too)...

I figured it's a likelier problem on my end, but it's bugging the crap out of me.

Is it just me or did youtube quietly purge the list style for the subscriptions page? For me it automatically shifted to that awful looking grid style, and while the button to change it back is still there, it doesn't do anything.
