Sonic 2006.
A game infamous for a bad storyline, plethora of glitches, bad controls, quite long loading times, and more; but overall, it wasn't that bad.
The game was rushed and not glitch-tested thanks to a fan bases wanting it on a date that wasn't realistic for SEGA to accomplish completing the game on it and the fact that there was too much and irrelevant content to fit the game's style.
However, it is pretty good being graphically beautiful for its rushed state (except Dr. Eggman… [shudders]), has quite good music if not great, and some pretty good level design in some places that if the game didn't have so many glitches, they would be quite fun to play, with Crisis City being my favorite.

Overall score: 6.1/10

Sonic '06 being good graphically?

I think the polycount in the models themselves are decent, but the main hub leaves so much to be desired. It's like an inferior Delfino Plaza, and that's from a game that aged badly graphic-wise.

Did you just

Mario Sunshine still looks beautiful today. The art style is a little different from later games, but meh.

All right

I'm sorry but Mario looks awful. Particularly, his eyes. The textures are amazingly low-res, you can even see the blurriness of it.

Maybe it's because I've never played Sunshine in my childhood, and maybe I'm living in another era of beautiful graphics in Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, Mario & Sonic games in general (say what you want about Mario & Sonic), but their graphics are their strong point and should not be downplayed), and even Mario Kart 8, but I was never impressed by Sunshine's graphics.

I don't think they were aiming for such fine eye texture detail on a machine that outputs 480p.

Good.

That still doesn't disprove how aged and just bad-looking in general Sunshine's graphics are.

Obsolete =/= Bad

Sunshine made great use of the GameCube capabilities with impressive polygon counts, unmatched water and weather effects, and had an art direction that basically set the baseline for all future Mario games (aesthetic tweaks aside)

If we were talking about Mario 64 here, I'd agree. Though I defend that game to the death, I can't deny how terribly the graphics have aged (it really should get a HD makeover). But Sunshine's still holding up well enough to fit in with the uniform art direction that is a signature of the main Mario series.

I mean, there's Super Mario 64 DS, which even though it uses the terrible DS screen resolution (256 × 192), it has quite a bit of ingame graphical detail.

They toned down the colors too much imo :|

Why are we talking about graphics so much? Can we get back on topic about the worst games?

I don't have a choice right now, but we totally went off-track here. :/
EDIT: I guess you don't like to listen me.

Maybe the water and weather are good, but I believe Mario Party 4's (another game on a platform that outputs 480p) models had better texture resolution (checked, can confirm) and polycounts than this. Not talking about the LOD models, which you might find in some minigames, but even then, the texture resolution still looks better.

Not saying that Mario Party 4's graphics are amazing either, but I'd use its models over Sunshine's.

I just said Sonic '06 had pretty meh presentation despite its model quality. It's like they blew their budget on their cutscenes and character polycount while leaving the appearance of the main hub much to be desired.

Even within the GameCube, I still think other games have better graphics than Sunshine. Super Smash Bros. Melee, Kirby Air Ride, and the Mario Party games all probably look better than Sunshine. The textures are too bright, and the contrast is horrible especially when the light is gone in some parts of Isle Delfino.

Here is a game that you might find interesting. It is called... Drum Roll please! (Drum Roll Sound) Curious George's Busy Day. This makes Action 52 look like Mario Party. I am not kidding.

There are 16 games to play on there. If you have enough points, you can get pages for your sticker book. The sticker book is where you can make pictures. Sounds like a good game for kids, but... All the games suck so bad. Most of them I tried with my eyes closed and I beated it. And the only positive is the graphics. The Game "Bunny Ride" is so easy. You don't even to move the mouse it just collects the carrots for you. And no, being a kid's game doesn't count. It doesn't have to crap to be a kid's game. This is basically the worst flash games I ever played. Even the ones on the other website are kinda fun.

So you're one of those "Graphics is everything"-people?
It's really sad to see how people associate Graphics alone to a Game in general, which has proven to be a false assumption countless times in the past.

You must have misunderstood my post.
I don't want your flashy HD graphics. I want a good game.

I personally thought that TTYD had the best graphical style anyway, as well as being best gameplay

... What the hell.

How can you even say the game is crap when you've never seen much of it and played it before?
