Oh and that inspired me to add a little fix to this board. If you have a post layout, your post container doesn't have padding, so that you can have the background fill the whole container :)

My perfect wish for a layout would be what I have now, but to take out all the profile stuff to the left and just have my username in the corner. Call me simple but it's clean and, with Calvin and Hobbes, it would look really nice.

Yeah, your best bet would be to make your .sidebar text white and overlap the picture. Than it would be practically invisible.
