Is "LZ77" an actor? I ask this because the list of actor names in arm9.bin (decompressed using Every File Explorer) has "LZ77" before the actor name for Hoot the Owl ("OWL"). Or is the actor name list LZ77 compressed or something?

I changed the warps around to make it so at the end of bowser in the sky you fight the 2nd bowser boss. However when his flames disappear(after he breaths fire) the game crashes. If it helps to know this I used Yoshi to play it. Thanks!

No idea. If the list were LZ77 compressed it would be unreadable.

What if you change the act selector of the 2nd Bowser fight to match that of "Bowser in the Sky"?

I just tried that and it did the exact same thing as before. It froze when the flame disappeared.

how do you set up custom collision? In my hack, I am trying make some of the things in the level bouncy. example: those trampolines in ricco harbour

I didn't set that up using a custom collision type, I modified an existing object's code so that it would set Mario's Y speed to a large negative value upon collision, giving the appearance of him bouncing.

Funny this topic should come up. I've wanted to put music blocks in my hack using this method. Could you share the code with me? I don't know ASM but I could probably apply the code to my rom. Also I plan to learn ASM in the future just so you know. Thanks! :-)

how am i able to assign behavior to certain objects? Like i want to have a fly guy, but make him have the behavior of a goomba. This was very easy to do in toads tool 64, but i can't find the behavior value to change in sm64dse.

im trying to set up the asm patch template but im stuck on this step

"Open MSys and cd into the folder to which the *.zip file above was extracted."

I opened MSys, but whenever I press ctrl D in the asm patch template (extracted folder) nothing happens. idk what im doing wrong, im following what the steps say.

Using the latest version there's no longer a zip file, just a directory called "ASMPatchTemplate". If you've downloaded "SM64DSe_20160222_R94.zip" into eg. C:/SM64DS/ and then extracted it to that directory, you would execute "cd c:/SM64DS/SM64DSe/ASMPatchTemplate".

You need to be using the latest build of NSMBe from the GitHub repo since changes were required to make it compatible with SM64DS. I've included a link in the SM64DS ASM Hacking Template thread.

whenever i type make after i type cd [my directory] i get an error that says "no rule to make target [my directory] needed by [my directory]" It was just working, but when i try to compile my own code, it no longer works.
