Citra can now run New Super Mario Bros. 2 (Europe) (Demo) (Kiosk) demo.

I have a feeling I may be able to do some sprite data testing soon...

A few more emulators you guys may use:

GameYob, a GBC emulator. Find a compatibility list here.

mGBA, a WIP GBA emulator.

and RetroArch, a multisystem emulator. Can run GB/C, SNES, Genesis, etc.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Stupid question coming through! How do I play 3ds games on the actual 3ds? is there some app? Or do I need an R4 card that supports 3ds roms? I'm asking because I've looked all over the internet without any luck and I hope you guys can help. Thanks!

How do I play 3ds games on the actual 3ds?

Either buy them in stores, or just use the eShop.

With the homebrew launcher you can't. smea doesn't want his exploit to be the key to piracy.

To play 3ds games on a 3ds you need a Gateway flashcard and a 3ds with fireware 9.2 or less.

Let me re-phrase that. How do I play 3ds roms on the actual 3ds?

Did you read my post above?

There are also a few other possibilyties for old 3ds firmwares. Namely custom firmeware and CIA (format for eShop-titles) installing. But these methods are not easy to use and you have to own a 3ds with, as I said, 9.2 firmware.

I think I literally posted my post just after you posted yours! Because I literally didn't see it. I could have just missed it though lol. Sorry to be such a pain in the behind. Thanks man!

updated first post to reflect the current state of the market

also be careful while trying to search for XDS, you find a lot of unrelated shit

there's also a site which pretends to propose a working and fast XDS emulator with plugins, it's a fake and don't click the links

What do you mean with "low level emulator". How is it different from Citra?

Arisotura
Posted on 03-02-16 05:29 PM Link | #68156
Citra emulates the system and all its services

XDS emulates the kernel but runs all the services alongside the game

What would be the best emulator to run NSMB2 on?

XDS can't run games yet, I think.

I think Citra Emulator is the only one that can run New Super Mario Bros. 2 at the moment.

If I posted my computer specs here, would you be able to give me a rough idea of what FPS I should expect?

Bleh, trying new things sounds scary :P

In all seriousness, I got the latest build of Citra and I have to say, it ran alot smoother than I thought

Does citra have malware? Or does the antivirus baidu on virustotal.com just always report false positives.
