If they release a new SMG game then it should be on NX. (Maybe a launch title?)
It should be more like SMG1 because its level design is better than SMG2's: Bigger galaxies, more planets, ...

YES, PLEASE THIS

Actually, a remake with smg1 and 2 on one chip would be nice- with some unused stuff like the fortress thingy.

You do realise, nobody other than the higher ups at Nintendo Co. Ltd (aka, Nintendo Japan) knows exactly what the NX really is, right?
Therefore, wanting to see an Unannounced Game on a Platform, of which we don't even know if it's a Handheld, Console, Mixed Platform, Phone, Tablet, PC, TV, VR, Pony, etc., is quite weird, in my opinion.

It's pretty likely to be a home console.

Edit: And do allow me to reiterate that this thread was not meant to be taken very seriously.

actually, the new console is an Acmlmboard, you download it and its games in your browser

which also means that with minor modifications, Kuribo64 can become a NX

actually we do know what the NX is. Heres the facts.

The 3DS sold extremely well, and is doing really good with its Remakes (2DS,3DSxl,N3DS). But the wii u FAILED. People dont even know what the wii u controller is!! they think the Gamepad is an extension to the wii. Why would they Create ANOTHER handheld when they failed to create a HomeConsole?

i think they are going to retry with House hold consoles, instead of making a handheld they dont need

Also, the New 3DS is arguably a new handheld, so they could end up with 2 redundant handhelds and no good home consoles if the NX was one too .-.

Also keep in mind, that the original 3DS came out in 2011, meaning it's almost 5 years old.
The DS (2004-2012) kept on for 8 long years, which is a Record to almost all Consoles (except for Xbox 360 and probably NES).
But, here it comes: The DSi had a different Time Span!
Yep, the DSi (2008-2014) was active for 6 years, with both the Birth- and Death Dates being different from the original DS.

Additionally, since the GameBoy came out, Nintendo always Released a Next-Gen Handheld first, and a Next-Gen Console after that.
The only exception was the GameBoy Colour, which was officially a kind of DSi or New 3DS in the GameBoy Line.

Lastly, Handhelds have always been Nintendo's best selling Systems, so financially, it makes more sense to Launch the NX as a Handheld, because in the end, Nintendo proved it's the King of Handhelds, in every Generation.

Consider the following:

NES: 1985
SNES: 1990
N64: 1996
GCN: 2001
Wii: 2006
Wii U: 2012

Roughly on average, Nintendo consoles get five years in the sun before the next one comes along. Now look at this:

GB: 1989, Hardware Upgrade in 1996 w/GB Pocket, Revision in 1998 w/GB Light
GBC: 1998, no Hardware Upgrade, no Revision
GBA: 2001, Hardware Upgrade in 2003 w/GBASP, Revision in 2005 w/GB Micro
DS: 2004, Revision in 2006 w/DS Lite, Hardware Upgrade in 2008/2009 w/DSi, Revision in 2009 w/DSi XL
3DS: 2011, Revision in 2012 w/3DS XL, Revision in 2013 w/2DS, Hardware upgrade in 2014/2015 w/n3DS

There isn't a consistent pattern with handheld lifespans, but there is a correlation with Hardware Upgrades (not Revisions, mind) and the imminent release of a successor handheld. GB Pocket, successor two years later. GBA SP, successor one year later. DSi, successor released two years later. With the release of the New 3DS, it's likely that the announcement of a new handheld won't be too far off. I'm guessing we'll see it at E3 next year.

So if a new handheld seems likely to be coming soon, and the predetermined date of the next home console is infact 2017/2018. And this rumor seems to support that.

Not gonna believe it until it's true, but I would really love that rumor to be true.

If there's a SMG3 it should be on the Wii U, the controls would suit that better than the 3DS controls would.

Maybe Super Mario Sunshine 2 would work on the 3DS.

SMG3 probably wouldn't work out on the 3DS. The Galaxy series requires the player to constantly be pointing at the screen, due to all the Star Bits and things like that. In addition, there are buttons and control pads needed for movement, and you only have two hands.

It's not like you have three hands - one for the control pad, another for the buttons, and yet another for the stylus. Any of the other 3D games would work, but a Galaxy game on the 3DS? Just ain't happening.

It probably wouldn't be the best. I'd prefer it be on Wii U or NX.If it had to be on 3DS, I'd be better suited for N3DS because of more controls.

It would still be awkward though. Using the wimpy control pad thing above the buttons for picking up Star Bits just wouldn't be the same as using the pointer - for you can move the pointer far more easily. (Well, if they went with using the c-pad anyway.)

It really depends what type of console the NX is. We still don't even know if its a home console, handheld, or some kinda hybrid. I don't think a SMG3 would go well on a handheld tbh.

There's a pretty good chance NX has some sort of home console-relation. During an interview around E3 last year, Reggie Fils-Aime was quoted as having said "we're also working on our next home console", or something to that effect.
