Does anyone else think that the NES Remix games, more than a collection of NES challenges, are ways for Nintendo to advertise their NES eShop section?

I mean, in every catagory, there's a little icon on the screen that leads you to buy that game in the eShop.

Am I crazy?

The game's awesome btw.

On another note, anybody thinking of hacking the games?

Honestly, the Amiibo tap thing is more like an advertisement. NES remix is totally overpriced though.

None of the poll options match my responce.

My response: Trying to give life to old games in a funner, mario party type way.

I think it's to:

a. Refresh games that players know all too well.
b. Introduce classic games to a new generation.
c. Give less invested people the satisfaction of playing through abridged video games.
d. Advertise VC.

That amiibo app is to:

a. Charge people money for an amiibo just to play a demo from a random NES/SNES game that they don't even get to choose.
(psst, you can get three full VC games of your own choosing for more or less the same price as a single amiibo!)
b. Give people a reason to buy another amiibo because they can only hold one game's save at a time.
c. Test how stupid consumers are.

Amiibo tap sucks. 3:00 demos for games YOU CAN PLAY FOR FREE IN SSB4 REC ROOM...

Not only that
Amiibo tap is over fricken Advertising. "Hey, i see you have a VR game you have already bought! Why not get it at the E-Shop AGAIN?!"

The scenes are 3 minutes, not 2.

Also, I agree about the fact that what you get from an amiibo is a ripoff. Why not get the full game if you get only parts of them?

I don't really care about that honestly. It's not like you buy Amiibo for the virtual console stuff. Also, if you currently have bought every Amiibo available you can unlock every game + have a lot Amiibo in reserve :p

But why would you pay $5 - $10 for an amiibo and get a random demo, when you can pay just as much or less, AND get what you want, on the eShop?

Edit: My mistake, they're actually $15 - $40 here.

Because I want the Amiibo because they're cool collectibles and I don't buy them for the demo?
EDIT: Amiibo are also around €15 where I live which is a lot more ._.

For one price, you get:
- An add-on to games like smash
- A collectable (IRL)
- A demo

What's the problem here? I mean, they aren't charging extra for it, so isn't it just a bonus?

The hate isn't about the amiibo themselves, but the Amiibo Tap app which is clearly not even worth downloading.

Also, if I wanted to hold save data for more than one game I'd need to go out and buy another amiibo because they can only hold data for one game at a time. The only exception is for games that only read data and not write data.

Well, most Amiibo just serve purpose for only one game. I've never had any problems with wanting to put multiple things on one Amiibo. Then again, I don't really use my Amiibo for anything other than costumes or the demo's :p

A bit off topic, but is it just me, or do the results for this poll look incorrectly displayed? What I mean is, how can 100% of votes be concentrated on one option, but 1 vote on each of two other options? It just doesn't make sense in my mind. @_@

Edit: Never mind, I was mistaken.

Or you hunt and you get them for $15. You can't afford to be lazy with Amiibo. It's almost a full-time job.

But eh, we're going off-topic :p

Multiple voting is allowed. You can vote for more than one option. 100% means that all users who voted, chose that option. In this case, everyone went for he third option. The other option were chosen as well by the voters, just not by all of them.
