People will still be able to post about SMG in the misc forum, if there's interest.

God damnit. Anthe has good points.

Thing is, sure SMG helped the board grow, but most of it is because it received the community that was on the SMG2.5 Proboards board. SMG2.5, and more generally SMG, made us active... but now that's not the case anymore. We can cling to SMG out of nostalgia and let the board die, but we can also move on to other things to generate more activity (and by activity, I mean meaningful activity, not postcount++ -- 90% of what we're doing now is postcount++).

I might as well keep a forum dedicated to SMG, if things warrant it. But given the activity it gets, it sure doesn't deserve 5 whole forums.

Anthe, thanks for managing to articulate what I was trying to get across on the other thread.

The fact of the matter is, the only game I was here for was SMG2, and now that this decision has been made, I don't see any pressing reason to maintain a presence here. If Wii U hacking gets a reasonable community around it I might give it a go, but for the near future I'll be lying low.

See you guys around.
Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Not like posting about SMG is forbidden now, either. It's just not officially supported anymore.
