Just a thought, but what if we had the indoor part be a pyramid, filled with traps to protect the star? |

Posted by MarioMaster720 I meant that in 3D land you could crouch and walk around and you could use the nunchuck and Z button on the wii to do it. |

Posted by NWPlayer123 A more general temple theme would be slightly better, since the pyramid theme is really tied to the sand theme. Like, a dungeon part, a maze part, then a non-underground part. ____________________ Burrow Base design- Text complete. I might try my hand at some art...maybe...eventually...? That's the point. I WANT this to be a sandy galaxy ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

Oh, so this has become a sand galaxy now? How about exploring ruins under a giant pyramid/Yoshi Sphinx. ____________________

possibly. I like that idea better then exploring INSIDE IT. We could recreate the entire yoshi sphinx from sticker star and then block off the normal way wigh rubble and lead them into a new path down under it ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

For the interior, I think Swoopers and Jumping spiders would be ideal. ____________________

If this is going to be a sandy galaxy, maybe you can take some ideas from The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword: Lanayru's Mining Facility/Sandship. Maybe with the windtunnels idea, that you can be blown away to the back to the start of the maze/certain path.

IDK how practical that is though.
Plus we are already basing fearsome factory on lanayru, but I really like it, and I think it fits both galaxies themes, so definitely, at least with the art direction and such ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

Posted by NWPlayer123 Oops, sorry. I didn't know you had another galaxy based on Lanayru xD. I'm not following this project for too long, and too good (yet) |

Hmm, it would be cool if Riddle Ruins was actually Shrapnel Sandbar, but in another part of it, and in the future. Mario would think that this is a brand new galaxy, go there, and realize that the Yoshi Sphinx was actually where the other faction on Shrapnel was. It'd be fun to have unneaded story behind all of it

I was wanting this to be it's own theme, plus the galaxies should all be different to a degree if they have similar concepts, such as sand or spooky ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

Posted by NWPlayer123 Lanayru fits a lot of galaxies. It had ocean/desert/mechanical/time/electric/mine themes. XD Anyway... Posted by Polari I don't think that's a good idea, as it'll restrict the design (needing to put something there, etc.) Does it have to be a sand theme? I was thinking of it being more of a general temple maze, without any secondary themes. Just a temple, filled with various deadly traps and puzzles. ____________________ Burrow Base design- Text complete. I might try my hand at some art...maybe...eventually...? This is more about open exploration, a lot like PM:SS handled it. Plus, when I was deciding this, I DID want a pure sand theme. Sand will play a huge role in this. It isn't just gonna be a temple/sphinx/WHATEVER, it'll be other planets. With riddles. And Puzzles. ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

TBH, I was hoping we could use my Zelda reference idea(go check the concept art thread if you have no idea what I'm talking about). It has many puzzles, also all those fake elements by Rean would fit in, and Fire Mario could be used to light up paths in dark rooms or activate switches. (Like that one Zelda level in SM3DL.) Also, it could have immediate death quicksand, since this is World 7. |

Zelda would be a good place to start. Like Arbiter's Grounds. ____________________

I just thought Arbiters grounds would be the ideal place to base this galaxy off of. And I know you said Zelda:P ____________________

I would like this to be more based on puzzles then anything. However, that will require lots of switches, plus we are kinda limited as to what we can do. For example, the entrance to the Yoshi Sphinx would be blocked off and it will have a sign board in front that gives you a riddle and you have to solve it to enter.
Plus, like I said, this is a sand galaxy, and a temple doesn't really fit, especially Arbiters grounds. I want ACTUAL ruins. ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |
