Looks like FNAF 3 has vents animatronics can go to at any time.

Brighten up the current teaser on scottgames.com and you'll see what I mean.

those arn't vents. You can see vents in your office in the trailer, and the "vents" in the teaser dont match up.

I think those are for the animatronics.

Even though there is one animatronic, I think Scott's lying.

Damn.

Looks like this will be the darkest of them all.

Also lol, trying to order them chronologically.

I dont see how the second game is a prequel. (Phone Guy doesn't count because that would make the third game a prequel too, which wouldn't made sense)

Look at the pay check at the end of night 5, the year is 1987 which is when the bite of 87 happened. The bite of 87 was mentioned in the first game, thus making fnaf 2 a prequel. Hope that makes it more clear on how fnaf 2 is a prequel.

Hmm true.

Still, it doesnt make sense how come they renewed the previous location and how the toy animatronics where scrapped and the first ones were restored.

The official website had the numbers "8" and "7" hidden all over the HTML. I've never played any of the FNAF games but they do look horrifying enough to play. :)

To put it in a better perspective, here is a time line of restaurants
Fredbears (first location) > Freddy Fazbears Pizza v1 (nothing is really known about this location other than its existence) > FNAF2 (Bite of 87 and murders) > FNAF1 (nothing much happens at this location other the events of Fnaf1) > Fazbears Fright (the most recent). Using this time line we can assume that the withered animatronics are from the location between Fnaf2 and fredbears family diner. They are then re-used in fnaf 1 after the pizzeria shuts down and opens another location with a smaller budget (as stated in the night 5 newspaper in fnaf2). To me this makes a fair amount of sense, and the new game might even take place in the location between FFD and Fnaf2.

It really is amazing how Scott can pull these games off so fast!

Professional development usually takes years, talk about work!

Not really, he's just using the same engine and changing it a little.

Whether or not it's been professional development since the first one is a very debatable topic.

Beside the fact he must make at least 50 more professional, and detailed models and textures. Must code at least 106 scripts (depending on game) with C++. He must buy, and edit sounds. He has to make sure it's glitch free (and holy shit is the fnaf series glitch free. I've only in courted 1 in the whole series.). He must make jumpscares that are scary. Make sure it doesn't lag on most computers. He must take breaks to take time with his wife and kids. He must make Profesional animations. And on top of all that, NO BODY HELPS HIM. it's a good thing his 2 little boys beta test the game.

I honestly wonder whats going on in the mind of Scott when creating that animatronic.

IMO the 3rd one is easy. I beat it within 2 hours, because all you have to do is seal vents n shit and be creative with how you control Springtrap.

Oh, and btw, if you look at Scott's website source:

'87. Sound familiar? :)

I'm particularly interested in where FnaF4 will fit in with the timeline. The whole thing seemed to come to a natural ending with FnaF3 with most, if not all, questions being answered if you simply observe the facts. Surely, this mustn't be the final game chronologically- that belongs to FnaF3, because it's implied that the dead children are finally put to rest in the good ending.

Does this predate all FnaF lore? Or is it somewhere between the events of FnaF1 and FnaF3? FnaF2 is the earliest chronologically, and it's possible that FnaF4 could take place somewhere near that point.

Scott said that the 87 in the source code was a coincidence and didn't mean to link them together.... BUT...

The bonnie teaser was out 10 days after the freedy teaser. The chika one was out 9 days after the bonnie one. It spells 19. if the foxy teaser is released 8 days later, it will spell 198. And if we get another teaser 7 days after we gt 1987.

FNAF2 did not take place before FNAF1.

yes it did! here is the timeline:

Phone guy in the 2nd game said there was a restaurant left to root before the 2nd game. That restaurant, according to Fnaf 3, had bonnie, Chika, freddy, and foxy. Those animitronics were used as parts in the 2nd game, and redesigned in the 1st game. Fnaf 3 is 30 years after Fnaf 1, and all of the animitronics were scrapped. In fnaf 1, phone guy said the animitroncs stopped walking around after an accident. In fnaf 2, phone guy says that they can walk around. Eve the pay check says 1987. Scott even gave a person a link to gametheroy when asked is fnaf 2 a prequel. Also, check out Game theory, it tells you the ENTIRE story. (https://youtu.be/GPugMe4ePEw?t=59)

What makes you say that?

All evidence points to this being true. :o
