You may have noticed a few changes in our forum structure.

Mostly getting rid of the last subforums we had. Subforums tend to be less visible and less often checked. They're also not implemented in the Acmlmboard we'll be switching to, and I don't feel like reimplementing them because they overcomplicate things tremendously.

The per-galaxy forums in the SMG2.5 archive have been squished into the per-world forums. Tags have been added to the thread titles so we still know which galaxy they are about.

We're down to 38 forums instead of the 87 we had before. Good to feel lighter! :)

Let me know if anything was fucked up.

Hah, looks better now. Do you think you can add a tutorial section for SMG?

We already have Documentations and Questions/issues. Considering how many people are into SMG, I think that's more than enough.

But documentations =/= tutorials. Also, most of the tutorials are located in "General SMG hacking", but nobody will see them, because they are burried between other threads.

An "SMG Hacks" section that you can post your hacks (like I've done in General SMG hacking many times), so General SMG hacking doesn't get filled with a lot of different stuff. General SMG hacking is right now a mix of many different things. Custom SMG Levels is a similar section to "SMG Hacks", it's for hacks, but just one kind of hack: custom levels or enough edited levels. An SMG Hacks section for all other kind of hacks would then be good.

Most of it is just you swapping files around.

Does that matter? Blue-Tora also made that ASM hack so it would be good for him too.

I think the SMG forums should be above SM64DS which would be above SM64.

SM64 may or may not be axed, it's not really spreading (and I still dislike the SM64 community).

SMG has a hugeass entry barrier and only about 10 people are in it.

That's more people then are in SM64DS atm, it seems.

But the entry barrier for SM64DS is far far lower.

I'm not sure how relevant that is when considering forum placement- I'd say go with the one that is more popular, not the one that theoretically should be popular but really isn't.

Nevermind that there are several SM64DS hacks that are showing good progress, yeah.

Has one custom SMG galaxy ever been finished? Or anything other than GalaxyHacker swapping files?

Texture editing isn't interesting anymore though...

Was my point that texture editing was interesting?
