Why not? Atleast in NSMBWii I can do it and it doesn't look broken.

:)

Edit- regarding the part at 0:43, do you mean the great wall thing, or the squarey thing under the platform?

Yes. And an old version, too.

Dolphin is able to properly render those animations, but iirc that sacrifices good performance.

Dolphin can do that now, huh? I'm just surprised Wii U emulation isn't the next big thing.

Kidding, of course, if it was that easy, we'd probably be making English NTSC-J Wii games for PAL 3DS in NTSC-K Japanese by now.

Also, I thought I was the only one who still stuck with older Dolphin builds. Why do you do that? I only do because the newer builds can't emulate my (highly unstable for some reason) Conduit, Conduit 2, and Spore Hero ISOs, and I only really use Dolphin for capturing with 3D Ripper DX anyways, and 3D Ripper DX doesn't work with 64-bit applications, it doesn't work with DirectX 11, and for various other reasons it forces me to keep to builds that are around 3 years old. I'm probably missing out on most of the speed updates, but I can't benefit from them without sacrificing Dolphin's ability to serve my purposes, so they're effectively pointless and worthless for me anyways. Besides, for no apparent reason 3D Ripper DX provides an INSANE speed boost with games built in the Quantum3 engine (which the Conduit and Conduit 2 are, conveniently, among several others), so it doesn't really make much difference, because 3D Ripper DX compensates for missing out on 3 years of speed updates and sacraficing the 64-bit option by providing a better speed boost than all of that combined for 2 of the 3 games I consistently emulate on Dolphin, among a handful of other games. If your preferred Dolphin build works with 3D Ripper DX, you might want to give it a whirl some time. Who knows, it might just provide speedup for a few games you emulate...

...uh...I'm assuming the lag in that video is enough to cause problems for you, and isn't just because derp recording methods are slow. AFAIK the last Dolphin build that worked with 3D Ripper DX came not long before they stopped making the 32-bit builds of Dolphin. You didn't say how old your chosen build is, so...if it doesn't work with 3D Ripper DX, don't say I didn't warn you.

I added a download link, for whoever wants to play it. Have fun.

I wouldn't really have a place to share it with people

There is once other place. SMWC has a(n admittedly dead) NSMBW forum.

Both, I think. It's creative, but not that good-looking in my opinion.
