Posted by Rainbow Mario No, he used an bad version of a obj exporter plugin. I say bad because it ruins UV mapping and such. Btw there is always an option to change the texture on faces in blender. at the material tab. |

I looked into NWP's model importing tutorial and downloaded the plugin but I can't find C:/Program Files/Google/Google Sketchup 8/Plugins anywhere. I have SKetchUp 2015. |

Posted by Rainbow Mario ... Hmm, perhaps NWP's tutorial assumed you have Sketchup 8? Do you have C:/Program Files/Google/Sketchup 2015/Plugins or C:/Program Files/Google/Google Sketchup 2015/Plugins ? BTW...it might be Program Files (x86) instead of Program Files for you. Look for all of the following paths: C:/Program Files/Google/Sketchup 2015/Plugins C:/Program Files/Google/Google Sketchup 2015/Plugins C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Sketchup 2015/Plugins C:/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google Sketchup 2015/Plugins ...also, this is offtopic, is it not? I found it. It was in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins. But when I open SketchUp with the plugin I get this error:

The plugin is most likely not compatible with Sketchup 15

The one that comes with Sketchup Pro, hence why I say it's necessary. ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

Is there a way to change vertex colors into normal textures?
EDIT: Maybe UV mapping?! |

Posted by macdachs Well no I guess not, you can try to make a giant texture and paint on it. But the real question remains... Why do you want to do that? |

I don't really know. I think you can't replace vertex colors with textures. You have to put the texture on then put on vertex colors. |

Posted by macdachs Interesting. I would suggest putting a bonfire with meat in that pit and put a Toad Brigade member near the bonfire. What do you plan on having the player do in the cave? Something similar to Deep Dark or something completely different? ____________________ Super Mario LOLand Thanks to kaj for helping to port my Acmlmboard 2.5 layout to Acmlmboard 2.064! |
