Nice! The only thing I really noticed that was strange to me was the shadow was for King Thwomp. I'm not saying you HAVE to do it, it's just some friendlly advice. |

Posted by Celestial I know it's still there but I don't know where it's stored (though have a vague idea) but it would likely be a lot of hassle to try and remove (due to his shape you couldn't add an accurate one for Petey Piranha). I'll try to remove the sound effects and dust clouds where he stomps his feet. |

Posted by Fiachra If you do find where the shadow is located, you could always make it a simple circle shape. They do that all the time. |

Would it be possible to add custom minigames into this hack? |

Posted by SuperMario2 I'm sure you could but it would be extremely difficult and I'm definitely not going to try; I've plenty to do as it is. |

I've been following the hacks at Kuribo64 for a while now, and finally bothered to make an account. Let me just say, Fiachra, this is amazing, and I'm really looking forward to playing this.
I'm going to be purchasing a flashcard for this, and I plan to use a DS Lite for it. Is there a specific card that would work well for this hack on a DS Lite with a 32 GB Micro SD card? |

Supercard DSTWO is never the best option for anything; it's a slow, hacky mess of a card with unnecessary features that break the actual games. Does NOT only apply to SM64DS hacks, it applies to all of them, and I bet if you booped around you'd find retail games that are broken on it as well. |

Posted by skawo Yeah,I heard the DSTwo isn't the best option from some people. I was thinking about the R4i Gold (I think that's the name?) Is that one good enough to work? And have other purposes for NSMB hacks as well? |

Posted by gridatttack I'm new to all these flashcards, and I'm just looking for one I can get the most out of. I don't really understand it much either, hah. |

I've finished porting/adapting the Sand Bird from Gelato Beach:
I've also fixed most of the problems with Petey Piranha: - Removed shadow - Removed footstep dust clouds - Removed footstep sound effects - Changed effect displayed when ground-pounding and defeating him to a more suitable one - Increased chase distance and speed - No longer pauses every few steps when chasing the player |

is their a way you can add a child object with a F.U.D.D. model that follows mario around? |

I've looked at adding F.L.U.D.D. before but it required too many triangles to display which caused issues with the already very high polygon counts in the level models. The DS can't display over 2048 triangles on screen at once and large graphical glitches appear when testing on the actual console. Otherwise I would add it. |

Posted by Fiachra What about something such as the short sleeve tee Mario wears in Super Mario Sunshine? Would that be an easy alternative to match the theme of the game, for Mario and Luigi? |

Honestly there are ways to make fludd this low poly. you can even make fludd out of 20 polygons or so I think. |

Posted by jjesss064 20? No you can't. Let's start using very basic shapes: - if you made the two nozzles triangular pyramids that would be 4 triangles each: total 8 - if you made the bar connecting the two an open-ended triangular prism that'd be 6: total 14 - if you made the water container two pentagonal-prism type shapes (a cube would look too bad) with an open top that'd be another 24: total 38 You've already nearly doubled 20 and it's not recognisable. If you want it to look at all decent you'll need at least 250 triangles and I can't spare that many. Posted by BlackYoshi485 Thank you for your offer but as mentioned above, even a very low poly model is too much. |

Maybe making some parts like an animated graphic, not a model ____________________ Working on SM64: A New Adventure https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxVwAPAQdnc http://i.imgur.com/qblZTfb.png |
