I got a Capture Card some weeks ago. It worked fine to set up it and connect it to the Wii U and everything, but the recording became terrible. When I record the Capture Card record a minut or something to slow, but this makes not very bad problems.

The problems is that it lag, and sometimes it goes too fast or the pixels mix up the screen. When the recording is done, the video file became a bit better and more stable, but not at all.

I have seen other people using Capture Cards to record their Wii / U, and it worked fine. Does anyone know what my error could be?

Are you sure your computer is capable of handling the recording of video in somewhat respectable quality?

Yes it's a 64-bit Windows 8.1 that is a week old or something. Is it something wrong with my
laptop or my Capture Card?

I don't know much about capture cards, but I guess...- are there certain settings you can play around with? Also what capture card are you using?

I think the name is "Game Capture HD" or "Elgato".

Elgato's are cool cards. They work beautifully.

Are there any settings you could change? Also, it could be a fake? possibly?

It being 64-bit and running Windows 8 doesn't tell much about the speed of your computer. Could you post some specs or the name of the model?

The model is HP. And my laptop is very new so I don't think much errors could happen yet.

Yes it is settings, many settings. But I'm almost sure they doesn't fix the lag.

Is Elgato and Game Capture HD different things or are Game Capture HD another kind of Capture Card?

Once again, that doesn't tell us the speed of you Laptop. How fast is it? CPU speed, GPU speed, etc.

Also, play around with it, check what codec its saving it as, resolution, FPS, etc.

How do I know the speed of my computer? Where can I see it? (sorry I'm very bad in such things).

Also, my Capture Card is Elgato.

Right-click on "computer" when you go into libraries. Then hit properties.

I don't see any information about speed when I do that.

Soon if nothing can fix the lag I'll seriousely throw my Capture Card in the floor so it split in 1000 parts. I'm not kidding.

Sorry, click on computer, right click in the white part surrounding the drive menu, and hit properties.

Either that, or google it.
