So, here's the problem:

...I successfully got CleanRip (launched via HBC) to create a Super Mario Galaxy 2 ISO (with the settings: No Dual Layer, 3GB Partitions, and No New Drive for New Partitions), but when I try to combine the two halves of the ISO created, I get an error message (from the command program) saying "Not Enough Space on the Disk".

My SD card has 16GB of free space on it, so I can't seem to figure out why THIS is happening. (This error appears after 4.0GB of the ISO is combined.)

Can anyone help me out?

Try cutting and pasting the halves onto your main hard drive and do it there

Hmmm... OK.

(In case you're wondering why I created a new thread, it is because we were going off-topic in the SMGExtractor thread.)

I have successfully obtained the ISO and have gotten Whitehole v1.2 to read the files. Now, I have run into another problem:

When I try to open a galaxy with Whitehole, I get this error message: "Whitehole quit unexpectedly while using the libjvm.dylib plugin." What does this error mean, and how can I fix it?

o,o that is the weirdest error I have EVER seen from Whitehole. What are your specs? OS, 32-bit or 64-bit, version of java (if you're in windows, start menu > "cmd" > java -version). Also, try Whitehole 1.1.2, it's way better. https://kuribo64.net/get.php?id=y4l6rpysGlg39New

There would be your problem. Macs aren't supported since nobody who can develop the program to debug has one. Your best bet is to find a program that converts the jar into an EXE and running it through Wine, otherwise you're out of luck.

...Oh, it's OK. I have a Windows 7 laptop (that runs slow) that I can use instead. In fact, I've managed to make it work already! :D

Now, where is a tutorial on using Whitehole...?

Regrettably, I don't know of any decent tutorials. I learned a lot through trial and error, so try that!

So, I've watched a few videos showing how to do things in Whitehole. Now, I have a question: How do I zoom in/out on Whitehole? (I'm using a laptop with its mouse pad, BTW.)

You do need a mouse with a scrollwheel to be able to zoom

Some laptop mouse pads can emulate scrolling via the method mentioned below.

Does the mouse pad support sliding two fingers parallel to each other to emulate a scroll wheel? If so, do that. If not, buy a mouse. They're much more practical for this purpose. I still think someone should add support for using + and - to zoom, for precisely this reason.

It does support tow-finger-parallel scrolling. Thanks!

Next question: How do I edit the mission text (the text that appears on the Star Select screen)???

That's in messageData, in MSBT format.

Whole thread with descriptions, there's no excuse for not knowing what to use.

...says the guy who for the longest time was nagging me about "How do I this?" "Where is that?" "Why is a cow?" while I was struggling to be on VACATION. Now it isn't your fault that I was on vacation (er, trying to be, because I couldn't stop thinking about SMG2 hacking stuff) and that I find it difficult to refuse a call for help (err...PM for help) if I have an answer. So don't feel bad. Just...make sure you have a firm base of knowledge before you start trying to be tech support. Friendly advice, that's all :D

Is this really worth raging over? It was a simple misunderstanding. Go here and look for Nuntius Novus. Well...msbtEditor and msbconv should work as well, but Nuntius Novus is my preference and personal recommendation.
