Or almost. Dolphin will still require an ISO because it doesn't take Riivolution patches. We'll work on it though.
So does that mean you can't use SMGExractor for Dolphin? I need to use Dolphin for testing! D: Plus, people tell me I need to use SMGExtractor to extract the files I need to edit levels & galaxies on Whitehole, so as far as I know, I need a program, similar to WiiScrubber, that works for SMG 1 & 2 to use on a computer. Can anyone help me with that? (I know, it's a mouth-full)

If you have the iso for the game, you can use Dolphin to extract the files.
If that's so, then HOW? (There are no tutorials for Wii Game Extraction on Dolphin on the WWW, so I can only turn to someone here.)(I just found a tutorial to do so using WiiMM's Tool, instead of Dolphin, but idk if it'll support SMG)

That can work too, I guess. Wiiscrubber is shitty closed-source, but at least it works for extracting files. That, Wiimm's tools, Dolphin, and this, are the only ways I can think of to get SMG2's files to use with whitehole. The latter 3 use an ISO, this uses your wii and an SD card, no ISO needed. But yeah, Wiimm's tools should work for you.

Wait, does it only support SMG2? Because I was trying to extract SMG1 at first. I tried SMG2, and it worked just fine!

SMG1, sometimes doesn't work. But it worked for me when I extracted.

When you get the files extracted or dumped from a disk, does it take the files of the disk so that I can't play the game on my wii anymore? I f the answer is that I can still use the disk then I am going to do this. ;)

Yes, the disc isn't affected in any way so you can still play like normal on your wii :)

Great! I already have an idea for the Bowser Jr. level in the demo. :)

Umm...you might want to be a bit more specific than "the process takes long to complete." I thought you meant closer to 3 hours than 3 DAYS. It's been going for THREE DAYS now, saying "Dump Successful!y Mounted. Now dumping." It actually says Successful!y, not Successfully. I'm using an NTSC-U SMG1 Disc, and told it to extract "the bare minimum." Is something wrong?

P.S. In the GUI it still calls you Mega-Mario. Admittedly, StapleButter is a much more memorable name.

If it had been doing that without showing WHAT its extracting say /objectdata/kuribo.arc It means its not dumping. So try it again. Three days?, letting it run for that long without turning it of",f must surely be bad for it.

Yeah. I just checked it...FAILED. I knew I should've ripped an ISO and extracted the files with Dolphin. The tool was a great Idea, and I hope it works for everyone else. Just my luck. I'm not a beleiver of superstitions normally, but a black cat walked past me as I walked home, just hours before starting the extraction. Hmm...

...No, that's just an old folktale.

Yeah. I just checked it...FAILED.

I figured I should mention that the error was an error. The files came out fine. I realized that it wasn't a typo. It was overwriting the text "Dump Successfully Mounted" with "Dump Successful!" That was very confusing. I suppose I should have said something at the time though. I didn't think to. Sorry.

SMGExtractor is a simple program that runs on your Wii, and dumps files from your SMG1 or SMG2 disc. You can choose to dump all the disc's files, or just the minimum required to hack SMG levels.

Great program! Just a little confusing with the text. Could you modify it to print the Success message on a new line? That would probably prevent much confusion in the future. Really cool that it even works for Mario Kart Wii! Another great modification would be if it dumped the DOL and Apploader. Okay, now I'm pushing it with the suggestions, aren't I?

Everytime I use the SMGExtractor, I get a message saying "Failed to mount the disc." I updated my HBC to the latest version... I tried to use a USB device... and still no luck... Am I missing something???

Can you run it/play it normally? (IE through the disc channel)

Yes... I can run/play both Galaxy 1 and Galaxy 2 normally (through the Disc Channel), and I can play custom levels on Galaxy 2 (via Riivolution). But I can't use the SMGExtractor for some reason...

I wonder, based on the TS faq, is there another homebrew loader that you can use?

No...

If the SMGExtractor doesn't work, then I'll give up... since I can't seem to find a SMG2 ISO.

Don't give up! There's always a way. I know there are SMG2 ISOs out there. That's how I got mine (Yes, I do own the game legit on disk)! Takes a lot of digging to find an ISO, and a lot of time to pull it from a Torrent, so I recommend trying CleanRip or other ISO dumping apps first. But before you even do that, try CleanRip with a storage device that has atleast 5gb of free space!
