Microsoft has officially bought Mojang now. According to IGN, Mincecraft version on non-Microsoft hardware such as PS4 and iOS will still be supported. IGN also said that people will most likely be able to make Minecraf videos and mods.

Hopefully, Minecraft won't become like Metro or Windows 8 or whatever crappy things Microsoft has.

Wasn't it specifically said in the EULA that we were allowed to mod the game?
They probably have to go through a lot of hassle if they want to change that.
