Whoa, that's cool, I think this tread should go somewhere else tho. Anyway, tell us how you did it.

Actually IMO the board itself should be called "Custom SMG Hacks/Mods", so we can have cool texture hacks and models should people decide to make them. The blue star chips are in the game though, but broken. I added in a patch for them....somewhere.

BOOO! The icon at the top totally ruins me immersion. Hmph.

But seriously, I don't think that's lame. I watched people discover how to mod XCOM, and I learned to appreciate how ever little hack can take a lot of effort, and even something so small had to take some work.

I presume that the BOOing was a joke, given that the video takes place in the Boo Moon Galaxy, and considering what you said after. But I have a theory on how to correct the star chip counter. If it works, I'll upload the results. Also, this will be part of my upcoming "Glistening Glacier Galaxy" Hack. Regardless, it's good to see that I was't JUST being FailHammered for the Star Chip counter, but also appreciated for what I did right. It convinces me that these hacks ARE worth it.

I tried to patch them back in myself. The level loaded, just not the Blue Chips. Did you add any BSCV entries or was ASM hacking necessary? Because if the answers are no and no, then I don't know what I did wrong.

You have to add the model in, you didn't add in the arc from the original game containing the model for it to work. IIRC, all I did was add back in the model file, and then use the original objects (the 5 chips and the group), basically all you'd have to do is rename YellowChip to BlueChip and YellowChipGroup to BlueChipGroup since they're identical with settings.

That's what I did. But then it failed, so I just patched the BlueChip.bdl into YellowChip.arc and let blue SpinDrivers fly. Oh and btw, I almost ROFL-d at your new avatar image.

Darn, you beat me to the Counter. I was going to do that, but then you did it for me. Darn...and thanks.
