I think he means that nobody cares about hacking SMG1, not the actual game. I care about it too.

My first (unreleased) Hacks were for SMG1. I was obsessed with reimplementing unused stuff, and I had some ideas that were...outside of the box.

I wasn't saying that :P I like SMG1 more then SMG2 as a game because of the Comet Observatory, that was my first big project after I figured out model importing. I meant for hacking it, the system it has is so terrible it's not worth trying. Also, v0.6 worked just fine for opening it, IDK what version you're using, but it should be that one because 0.7 is bugged.

I've edited that table before, and for some reason it derped with Starship Mario's camera. IDK what happened, but it hasn't happened since.

So I imported my models to Flip Swap just to test them. But I really wanted them on a different galaxy. So, I delete my already existing RedBlueExGalaxy folder and the files within, and copy another RedBlueExGalaxy folder from the files I extracted with SMGExtractor. But now, when I open Whitehole, it doesn't even show RedBlueExGalaxy on the list of galaxies to edit. -_-

Does anyone know why?

Make sure the ZoneList and ScenarioData.bcsv point to RedBlueExGalaxy.

-_- .......I just fiddled around with everything that had RedBlueEx on it, and apparently it appears but is at the very bottom of the list instead of being in its place in alphabetical order. Wow.

Where have I seen that before...? I know it wasn't on my Computer, and I almost suggested it, but I realized that I might've read it in a dream. Now I'm sure it was real somewhere else. Weird.

Hi. Does anyone know what the functions of the following IDs are?
  • ViewGroupID
  • GroupID
  • ClippingGroupID
  • CameraSetID
  • CastID

I am particularly interested in ViewGroupIDs since ViewGroupCtrlAreas are so prevalent. Thanks.

It's more for internal management/debugging than anything. ViewGroupID is completely useless to us, GroupID is I think used by a few objects to work correctly, and ClippingGroupID does the same thing, it lets clipping work correctly. (Think mattermouths and Light Yoshi). The last 2 I don't remember seeing anywhere so I couldn't tell ya.

That's kind of a difficult topic, because nobody has really cared about it that much. It's in the sound files (duh). And I think the objects are "BGMChangeArea" or something.
