Is it a way to record a Wii without a capture card? My Youtube videos of SMG have bad quality so I want to record my Wii instead. I have Wii U. So can I put the Wii U's HDMI1 cord in my laptop so I see the SMG on the computer and then record it there via a program? I'll maybe get a capture card later because it costs very much. But for now, can I record SMG on my Wii U in Wii menu in an another way than use a capture card?

Use dolphin and record dolphin. ez.

That's if your computer is capable of running dolphin and recording at the same time

I have never play SMG on Dolphin before. Will I play SMG on my computer with keyboards? Or do you mean if i put the HDMI1 cord in my computer I see SMG on Dolphin?

You can connect your wii controller to Dolphin via bluetooth.

Then you need a capture card, as far as I know there's no way to record your Wii U via HDMI.

You can play using keyboard and mouse or using an xbox/any controller/using a wii controller with bluetooth

Just get fraps or something. I use shadowplay, if you have an Nvidia card that is GTX 650 or better, you can just record with that, doesnt affect performance at all and you can always use it

As a lot of people have said it is best to use dolphin and I would suggest getting bandicam or fraps you can get fraps for 30 days free I think and bandicam is free forever it just has a watermark on your videos.

Yeah, and bandicam makes smaller files and uses up less power from you're pc. BUT, it comes at the cost of low bitrate
