Posted by GrapeEscape I think G&W was actually one of, if not, THE most buffed character from Melee to Brawl. I think his issue in Melee was that whenever he shielded, his shield did not fit his size so he was left exposed and shielding wasn't such a reliable option for him. I believe the lag of G&W's Smashes got reduced (I don't remember G&W in Melee like at all though, so correct me if I'm wrong cause Melee isn't my cup of tea xD) and even more buffed, along with his Up-B slowing his descent like Peach. I think he also got an overall range and power buff. In fact, I actually HATED fighting G&W in Brawl (to the point where he was my most hated character to fight) due to his ridiculously powerful Smashes that have little cooldown and I found every move of his was just there to torture Ness (the bucket, his Up Air, Back Air, etc.). But I learned the match-up a lot more now, so I don't mind fighting him again, haha. ____________________ Yo-YO, let's GO! The PSI Prodigy! (SSB4 Ness Combo Video!) |

All they did was mostly keep him the same. How does that make him worse? Just because his moves weren't exactly what you wanted them to be, he's "meh"?
Also, if I see correctly, they added two other variations on the FLUDD move. How do you know the mechanics and variations are the same anyway? They could be hugely improved! Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Posted by Stygmax The problem with FLUDD is that it is too situational, not to mention his Fireballs and Cape are already there to interfere with the opponents' recovery; therefore it is outclassed. The only recovery I see FLUDD interfering with Ness/Lucas, who can be pushed away from their PK Thunder with the FLUDD. But even then... Mario can always do this lol (and an example of how the Cape already screws up recoveries) And as gridattack said, Mario Tornado gave him another recovery option. Taking that away made recovering difficult for Mario (which is ironic cause he's the Jumpman ). ____________________ Yo-YO, let's GO! The PSI Prodigy! (SSB4 Ness Combo Video!) |

Huh. I guess I didn't look very deeply into that.
I concede. Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

If I remember correctly, Mario tornado was only an attack, not a special attack. So it might still be a mechanic. ____________________ Remember, every user has to start out somewhere,- Every time I look back at my old posts, I cringe. |

Posted by PaperplateismGuy No it was actually his Down Special. =P I guess it sort of got implemented in Brawl as his Down-Air, but he obviously couldn't use it to recover and I think it replaced his drill kick from 64 and Melee. ____________________ Yo-YO, let's GO! Sooo I´m surprised at how Nobody´s paying attention to smash news. Here´s
MM720 with the week´s most important Smash Bros. News! Nintendo is an official sponsor of EVO 2014 This came as a shock to everyone. During EVO 2013, Nintendo tried to exclude Melee from the event (but gave up after fan backlash), and this year they are actually SUPPORTING it? This in addition to the E3 SSB4 tourney shows how Nintendo are starting to really support the Smash Bros. competitive fan base. If only Sakurai would do the same (NOTE Sakurai and Nintendo as a whole aren't the same). Either way this is fantastic news and a step in the right direction! Fuck the haters who say Nintendo don´t appeal to the hardcore<3 Samus Light Suit (and USA Mario) confirmed as Alternate Costumes in SSB4! The reason this is notable is because of the Light Suit. Specifically because Project M (everyone here should know about it) very recently announced that they would include the same costume in a later update. This might mean that the Project M people have to remove/replace their Light Suit (since they aren´t going to include SSB4 content in PM to not risk Nintendo backlash). Even if they don't change it, they will certainly feel awkward about it. Also I have a feeling that we'll get a character reveal tomorrow, but it's just intuition ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy. Are there any images? And I am part of project M. This was an issue with the Skyloft Stage. But since we revealed ours FIRST, then there's no reason we should get rid of it. ____________________

Here is the image:
Also I know that you revealed it first, but I´m pretty sure that Nintendo thought of the idea before the PM team did (they probably made that costume half a year ago, but they just don't want to spoil everything right away) Then again I don't really care what will happen. I play Project M myself and will play SSB4 too. I´m just curious ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy. This Light Suit actually looks very different from Project M's. So we're probably not gonna remove it imo. ____________________

Soooo it turns out that Nintendo will host a SSB4 3DS Tournament at San-Diego Comic Con (25 July). HOPEFULLY some famous people will appear like last time (and HOPEFULLY they will remove Sudden Death at Grand Finals -__-)
It´s good that Nintendo is hosting tournaments. I assume they will remove the items after launch (they´re only having them now to promote the game) ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy.
