so now Shulk and Chrom are basically confirmed! AWESOME!

Also now we get

Mario, Mega Man, Sonic and Pac-Man in the same game, representing Nintendo, Capcom, Sega and Namco. This is pretty Legendary.

Also I watched the invitational tournament live (it ended at 5'o clock AT NIGHT, and I watched the whole goddamn thing. Sleep is overrated). I'm kind of disappointed by the ending, since

Zero was stalling during the last minute just to get a cheap Sudden Death Victory. IMO Hungrybox deserved that win since he went all-out. I know that he camped a lot in the previous rounds but that was 4-player with items on so I kind of approve (he needs to be a bit defensive).

Also there are SO MANY people riding Melee's dick who now instantly dismiss SSB4 since "it's not like Melee". SO FUCKING WHAT? It's more competitive than Brawl, you can do melee combos and it's a new smash bros game. Gah the competitive fanbase is so close-minded, and I play Melee a lot competitively

That's silly. They should give you the option to either use the D-Pad or the joystick, forcing you to use the joystick is kind of unfair. And, what will the d-pad be used for, then, I wonder...

He doesn't mean that they are confirmed officially, but following the trend of that leak about the characters. All have been true so far, so it seems a bit true that shulk and chrom will be in too.

The character rosters is already complete. They decided it way back then (which means greninja was in the game way before X and Y were even released)

You might never known how they even got the leak in the first place. Lets say, they might have gotten just those characters list in terms of leaks. You might never know. In terms of speculation, the credibility comes when they actually predict things that turn out correct.

I still doubt the Chorus Men are going to make it into the game. It would be an even bigger curveball than ROB/Wii Fit Trainer were.

As for characters yet to appear, here is who I think will show up.
Chrom
Shulk
Wario
Captain Falcon
Game and Watch
Ganondorf
Ness
Jigglypuff
Ice Climbers
Meta Knight

That's really it. Wolf, Lucas, and ROB are downright GONE, The other 2 Trainer Pokemon have little chance of appearing, especially Squirtle b/c Greninja, Mewtwo is most likely not coming back (although it is possible), Snake is also not likely, even though he is a fan favorite (he was more of a one-time thing).

I really think the only 2 unconfirmed newcomers are Chrom and Shulk. Chrous Men would just be terrible tbh, and I think they were only listed as a mistake for Game and Watch, or as a prank of sorts.

You're JOKING. Please tell me it's a joke... These two characters are ENORMOUS fan favorites and have been around since the first Smash Bros. People would be outright PISSED if Captain wasn't in the game. They're not going to abandon him. Look at Game and Watch... he's still around and hadn't had an ACTUAL GAME SINCE THE 80'S!!!!

Well people are very interested... The real reason no new F-Zero is being made is because they can't see how the series could evolve on a more "casual system" being that the gamecube version was blazing fast. and plus, Captain Falcon will NEVER be cut, period. He's a classic and is more famous on Smash Bros than on F-Zero.

Yes Jigglypuff would make the cut if they were to cut any of the original 12*, but really, Captain Falcon is just too popular to be cut.

Also there's no way they would ditch Falcon. I mean F-Zero was represented in Nintendo Land, and for all we know they could be working on a F-Zero for Wii U right now (like Miyamoto said they worked on Starfox U for quite a while).

I don't see why they would bring back Meta Knight and Ice Climbers....
Meta Knight was the most controversial character in Brawl and Sakurai already said that he doesn't want to over-represent his own series (we already have 4 characters from games made by him). Besides Meta Knight did not appear in the latest Kirby game (Triple Deluxe)

And Ice Climbers are just no. Their roles have basically been replaced by Rosalina/Luma, they come from a series that's not supported and Sakurai said that some characters might be cut because of 3DS limitations (Could the 3DS handle 8 Ice Climbers, their attacks, Stages, Hazards, Items, Equips and such at the same time online without lag?)

I was also skeptical to G&W but the Pac-Man trailer makes me more unsure. TBH G&W is one of the least liked characters in the smash series, and like Ice Climbers above, his playstyle (his attacks involve random everyday objects) has been taken by Villager.
