I believe the proper English translation is "Palace of Twilight". Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

I hope in the next Zelda, it becomes more interactive with the plot changing depending on the decisions you make in the game. Like Mass Effect 3. Also, I want the choice of having Motion Controls or Standard Controls. And, if you pick Motion Controls, the game asks you if you are left or right-handed, that way it impacts Link and you feel like you have more control of him. Another thing, I think Wind Waker was the biggest leap in gameplay of the 3D Zeldas. Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask were identical, but in Wind Waker, you do everything you could in previous 3D Zeldas, Crawl, Counter, and just overall be able to do cooler stuff. Twilight Princess did not have that major leap, it was similar to the previous 3. Skyward Sword had a leap, but I think Wind Waker's was still bigger. Like in SS, being able to "bowl" bombs into crawling spaces was genius. |

So it turns out that some guy has made the original NES Zelda playable on Oculus Rift (glasses that literally let you see the game through the character's eyes). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gzXHUyfdyM#t=363
Oculus Rift has great potential. I tested it personally last year and it was amazing. The only flaws I could find were that the glasses were too small (you can still see the black borders while you play, which takes away a bit of the realism) and the fact that the screen/game itself was REALLY low-res (The graphics were amazing, but it was incredibly blurred. You could still play it, but it felt really derpy). If they fix those issues however I'd say that this is the greatest step in Gaming History and the most revolutionary. Even more so than motion controls, wireless controllers and online multiplayer. I will however also admit that after playing for like 15 minutes my eyes felt slightly weird afterwards (it didn't hurt, but made me slightly dizzy). So far I'd say it isn't really healthy to play. (It could just have been the really low-res game though and not Oculus Rift itself) ... Anyway this still looks pretty good. Now all they have to do is make a Oculus Rift HD Zelda Ocarina of Time version and I will be amazed ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy. Posted by GrapeEscape I already posted about this on Town Square.... Anyway like I already mentioned in my post, I think that this looks really cool, and I'll buy Lost World just because of this and the Yoshi's Island Zone Some part of me thinks that they made this just because they knew it would get them more sales, but it's a pretty nice crossover. ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy. Soo we got more Hyrule Warriors info
- All new Story & Villains - Many characters from the Zelda series are playable, but only Link & Impa are confirmed so far. - Game will have multiplayer - Link starts out as a soldier-in-training Many screenshots here: http://www.zeldainformer.com/news/37-brand-new-hyrule-warriors-screenshots-featuring-link-shia-wizro-valga-an#.U348CSh79aF MM720's Opinion: So much hype. This looks MUCH, MUCH better than the initial trailer! I'll for sure be buying it now Also Shia is just...wow. Not surprised if game gets 18+ rating just because of that outfit (can't wait for cosplayers!). ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy. Whelp it also says that the game will have (paid) DLC. Hopefully it will be DLC done right at least (DLC isn't bad if done right, not overpriced and in moderate amounts).
You'll also be able to buy a special edition version of the game which will also include - Official Art Book - Triforce Clock - Replica of Link's Scarf - Life-Size Treasure Box with sound effects (shutupandtakemymoney!) - 3 Special Costume Sets in-game. Whelp seems like I'll be buying that then, no matter the cost EDIT: lol I just found out that said limited edition has already been sold out in most japanese stores....already. I gotta place my pre-order instantly after they announce the european release. (and if it stays Japan-only then I'll buy the japanese version and then sell the game itself on ebay while keeping the other stuff) ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy. Why would they announce it in an ENGLISH NINTENDO DIRECT and then keep it japanese only? MM720 logic <:
If I ever get a job I'm definitely getting the best bundle they release, since right now I have 0 moniez. ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

Oh, well either way, the bundle sounds fkn amazing. Here's hoping we'll see more at E3, though most likely not with what they revealed already and the fact of zelda u reveal. It might be playable but that would be about it. ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

So yay, I ordered Twilight Princess, and should have played through it before the end of the school year. What are you guys' opinions on the game? Where does it rank in your lists? ____________________

I mean, it had quite a bit of content, but from what I remember it was really confusing at parts. It never really stuck out to me. ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

It's also a very long game. If you are looking for a meaty, content-loaded Zelda, look no further. Hyrule is bigger than ever before, and some of the locations, especially Snowpeak, are breathtaking. The soundtrack dissapointed slightly for being too MIDI, but overall an amazing game. ____________________
