Pretty much what the title says. I've been able to get a custom model to show up in whitehole but when I load the level in the game the model isn't there. I'm using StapleButters method of loading the game in dolphin without an iso. Any help would be appreciated ____________________ Hacking LM and trying to not suck. Weeeeeeee. |

Because you need to define it in either PlanetMapDataTable or ProductMapObjDataTable (See: https://kuribo64.net/?page=thread&id=812). It isn't just gonna show up because you added the model file and added it as an object, you have to tell the game it's there and exists. ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

That would be why. You're supposed to edit the actual data so it's not "Placeholder", not the data type or field. Unless your BCSV got really fucked up somehow. What version of the editor are you using, by chance? ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

Okay, that may be why, 0.7 has some issues, try v0.6 and edit a new BCSV file, that one is screwed up, and so all you have to do is hit the add button to add a new entry at the bottom of the list, change the first "Placeholder" to whatever the name of your planet is, then click the fields so it drops down and click the second field, and change THAT "Placeholder" to SimpleMapObj, and then save it and try it. Note that you need to close the editor before you can pack it back into an arc. Let me know if that doesn't work. ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

noes, the field and data type should be left as they are, all you're editing is the data. When I get home I can give you some pictures. So all the productmapobjdatatable and really all bcsvs are is a table, think of it like excel or a spreadsheet, the columns are basically the fields, the rows are entries, and the data type is just there in case you need to change from string to intergers for whatever reason, but in 99% of cases the type should be left as-is, including this one.
The data is the individual cells for the entries and fields, that's what you want to edit. Clicking the "field" arrow to drop down just lets you change between "columns" or fields and change the data for each entry/cell, If that makes any sense, it's a conceptual thing. All you want to edit is the 2 new data "cells" you created by adding another entry or "row", which the program fills in as "Placeholder" when you create it, that's why you have to edit the data to what you want. If it makes it easier to understand, you might want to edit the BCSV using whitehole's editor, it displays it as an actual table so it's easier to understand. EDIT: Added some pictures to my guide, see the second to last section. ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

oke this raises questions. if you have to replace data with simplemapobj. how does the ProductMapObjDataTable know what planet you mean? |

Posted by jjesss064 Because you put in the name of the planet in the first part of the entry. Also, glad it's finally working. ____________________ "I hate playing musical chats" ~ Quote of the month |

Great , I think with a bit of shading this thing will looks pretty good. I just find it disappointing that the wii can't render shading in realtime. ____________________ Remember, every user has to start out somewhere,- Every time I look back at my old posts, I cringe. |
