Maybe you need to insert a usb. clean the disc, and check if the game runs normally. if its a disc (the wii actually cant read it when trying to play it) read problem, then it wont work at all. Also, check if you've inserted it the opposite way too.

I just bought a new SD card the other day and my SMG disk works fine.

It's because of your SD formatting, it's impossible to extract a 4.37~GB file on a FAT-formatted SD card. I'm surprised you even got the ISO to load for you to extract files from.

Yeah, that's your problem. Either reformat it to something like NTFS (WARNING: FORMATTING ERASES ALL FILES SO BACK IT UP AND THEN COPY IT BACK) or use the CleanRip options to split it into chunks and then combine the file on your computer.

Does extracting the files from the disk make you not be able to play Super Mario Galaxy normally?

Yes. It doesn't damage your original copy of SMG in any way.

So I can still play Galaxy 1 and 2 afterwards? And my wii still works?

Of course, why would it do anything? All it's doing is looking at it, it does the same thing when you play it. All the stuff that's going on is on the SD card.

Just so you know, he was attempting to use SMGExtractor, not CleanRip.
