Cousins are coming over here :)

We should also set up more decorations imo. That is, whenever my sister comes back.

Also heh, that Christmas banner script still works with the board's 'new' layout.

Nice Banner! And the rainbow colors are also nice! Now, if there was only a christmas theme...

The thing is really distracting me with it's glowyness so unfortunately I'll have to disable it using ABP :(

So what do I on Christmas Day? I rest because it is Christmas Break.

These two weeks for me have been the time to relax.

And boy, three years ago, on the old Super Mario Galaxy 2.5 ProBoards site. Especially with talking about Good King Wenceslas from the song of the same name. Super Mario Galaxy 2.5 was still early since it began on December 5, 2010. The project was only twenty days old.

merry christmas, or happy Anastasia of Sirmium, Celebration of the birthday day of Mithras,Brumalia celebration of the pagan solstice,Yule,Malkh,Dies Natalis Solis Invicti and how could i forget... isaac newtons birthday!

on a side note, ive used a ssd for several years now, had 0 issues with it ever, and it is super fast, i recommend using it only for your os, and any very commonly used programs, or for anything where write speed is a bottleneck, i use it for my work, as i often have to stream 16 channels of audio recording etc so the ssd is hugely useful for that and also exporting video etc, they are expensive per gb but you shouldnt be using it for storage, also modern ssd's are probably less likely to fail then platter drives and obviously are much more shock resistant and power efficient, they have been known to degrade, but generally they come with a 5 or more yr warranty.

I find ssd's to be really good for things where you will only read stuff off, not write. So an OS would be great. Writing too much could mess it up.

I'ma look for a site to show you guys.

since usb drives/micro sd's are super cheap these days a friend of mine made a raid using 4x 32gig micro sd cards they cos about 10quid each each with one of those tiny usb adapters going into a usb hub lol. it performs quite well, and because it has distributed parity, if one of them fails, you can just replace the card.. fun..

lol, so he did raid 1, i would've done raid 0, super super fast since its sd's and since its raid 0 :D

actually i think he did raid 5 or 6, so it was basically striped but with recoverable data being split amoungst all drives so if any 1 drive fails you can recover. yeah striped raid is fastest as u know, but also for each drive you add you increase ur risk of failure so its best to have either a mirror drive or parity regions. it was only for fun he did it, but it worked surprisingly well lol, and im pretty sure he hasnt had any failures so far lol

Lol my hard drive, its a 7200rpm sata 3, and also boots up in 10 seconds. Its because of Windows 8, it saves an image of the last session.

i take about 3-5 seconds from off too in windows. sleep mode ftw... im not a fan of win8 pretty sure ill stick with 7, and maybe get a steam box, use linux alot also, but just not for music production or gaming. having decent mobo/hdd definately gonna be biggest limiting factor to most peoples pcs these days. the difference between loading times from games on my ssd and games on my 1tb hdd (which is also high spec but platter) is pretty damn large. especially if u use pagefile

Use steamOS on your steam box and youll be able to potentially use all games.

So yeah, I got a pair of gloves, Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron for DS, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Transformers: The Game for Wii, and 25TL. Pretty happy, though a bit disappointed that I didn't get a 3DS, even though that was the only thing I asked for
