Last view: 1101 days ago 		There's a big Nintendo Event at the mall near my school starting November 25th for 2 weeks promoting A Link Between Worlds, Mario Party Island Tour, and Super Mario 3D World. My best friend, Guard, is working at the event as well! So... next Friday, since I don't have school, I'm going there with my friend Jenny to try out the games (mainly Super Mario 3D World), and I'll meet Guard there as well! He said he'll most likely be playing Mario 3D World with us as well, to guide us. Oh man I'm too excited for this event!! ^__^

So to an extent, I guess you could said my best friend Guard kind of works for Nintendo. =P

Last view: 1758 days ago 		Apparently some random people that travelled with a totally random Southwest Airlines plane got FREE WII U'S (and it's even the special one with NSMBU and NSLU pre-installed!)

O_O

Although I'm fairly sure sure that at least 60% of the people in that plane didn't deserve the Wii Us I just gotta say that this proves that Nintendo cares about its FANS and the actual GAMERS instead of Money. I mean how can they afford to GIVE AWAY Wii Us when the console is doing so badly? It may always be that they want to encourage those people to buy Wii U games, but still those consoles must cost so much that even if all the people in that plane bought 5 first-party Wii U titles it would STILL negatively impact Nintendo (not to mention that at least a third of those people are old and probably don't give a fuck about video games anyway).

It's just sad that most of those Wii Us will probably:
1: Never or very rarely played
2: sold to other people
3: given away to other people (which is reasonable enough as long as the things noted above won't happen with the new owners)

Although still Good Guy Nintendo does it again (now let's imagine Microsoft giving away Free Xbox Ones. Hard? That's because they care so much about money that it will never happen)

I remember when I was part of Super Mario Galaxy 2.5 December 2010-July 2011 before I left until January 2013.

I remember when I suggested the Spring Mushroom to be uses rarely and when I suggested having fourteen worlds.

I had many unfinished designs posted and many designed sections posted. I also had plans for many future designs.

My level of creativity was extremely high and so was my level of motivation. Those were some good times, good old times. Very productive ones also.

Glem3 made a 3D model design of Beat Block Galaxy back in December 2010.

On the Super Mario Galaxy 2.5 thread Glem3 made on RVlution in December 2010, which is where I found out about Super Mario Galaxy 2.5, I suggested to Glem3 a design for Terrifying Tower Galaxy, which used Buoy Base Galaxy/Topman's Tower in Space Storm Galaxy.

Terrifying Tower Galaxy could be considered one of the oldest ideas in Super Mario Galaxy 2.5.

I'm not hailing them as best awesome and say that they don't care if people buy their console, but I don't see what Nintendo has to gain by giving away free gaming consoles to random people for no reason. The Wii U is doing so badly that they're supposed to SELL them, not give them away.

And if you say "but it's supposed to make other people buy Wii Us because they pretend to be such great guys", then I don't see how it would work. If anything this works AGAINST Nintendo since people who've seen it will probably think that the Wii U is overpriced and not worth it because the "picture shows that they can give them away for free with no loss".

Admit it: They didn't do it for pure money and marketing. Of course it's marketing, but like stygmax says it's Nice marketing (not literally nice marketing, as I can only see this hurting the sales even more). Most companies wouldn't give away consoles that they need sold for free, but yet Nintendo did it.

Of course it could be that Nintendo is just stupid that thinks that this will actually boost Wii U sales hugely, but this does show that they do indeed care for the people AS WELL as the money equally. :P

Are we really fucking arguing about this? Nintendo made a generous choice to give out Wii U's and the more people to experience means the more to buy. Nintendo didn't do anything wrong here. It's like the lottery.

Happy Thanksgiving for anyone who lives where it is celebrated and where it was celebrated.

We will be eating turkey and some of us will be tofurkey. For some us, today is when we put our Christmas hats on.

With the new Focus Galaxy System set in place, who know how far SMG2.5 will get by the end of the year with our effort? Hopefully quite far.

I now have regained motivation motivation to make designs. That is good news. The early Christmas joy also helped.
