This is the thread to report all Errors given in a certain program, or maybe a crash happening in a certain level.
-If it's a program error, state what happened with the editor, and which file you were editing.
-If t's a game crash, please tell us what you added before the last working test, and if you can, supply a debug crash showing the bottom section in a screenshot in a post.
We will try to find a solution as soon as we can. ;)

I KNOW THERE IS A FORUM FOR THIS. I JUST DONT WANT THREADS APPEARING EVERYWHERE SO THIS IS ALL IN ONE SO SOLUTIONS FOR CURRENT PROBLEMS MAY HAVE BEEN CAUSED IN THE PAST, CAN BE SEEN HERE.

This is known, but replacing the castle front tree texture with SM64DSe in the NTSC ROM causes the game to freeze at the white screen after selecting your save file. What's odd is the change is visible in the editor and doesn't crash the editor. Fiachra thought it was an error in the archive file naming but it seems to be an elusive bug, although quite insignificant at that.

uhh..what?
This isn't crash reports for SM64DS. This is for SMG2.

This is an SMG thread? You weren't specific anywhere in your post.

Ah, so it is. Apologize for the confusion. Still, might want to outline that in your thread, evidently Goomboid was mistaken as well.

The view window stops responding whenever I delete an object running the EXE version of Whitehole 1.1 on Windows 7 x64/2012 Mac Mini. I have to re-open the galaxy to resume editing.

Already known, and is fixed on the v1.2 version. (Isn't released yet.)

When I add an object to a level it freezes in-game. Am I doing something wrong?

Look at the Object Database for the object you're looking for. If every object already in the game has a specific setting, put it in there, because it's the reason for the crash.

It also depends on the galaxy. Some galaxies hate certain objects. For example, Starshine Beach hates my WorldOneTwo model, but Flip-Swap will gladly accept it.

Also will the next version close the files after saving? Curently I have to close and restart Whitehole because the game crashes when I select a star (files are still open). This is running the game from a directory in Dolphin. If this is fixed it will make testing much easier.

No. I won't put something in there that would normally take a person 2 more seconds to do...

MrRean, just because you don't want to play nice doesn't mean the files don't have to. Sharing is caring. If you're not going to manage files like you're supposed to, well that's just bad practice. It takes YOU 2 seconds to do it, so stop complaining. Just add a line to close all the files. Maybe not quite that simple, but all it takes is changing a few lines to allow other programs to read the files after you saved them.

Thanks. Everyone talks about wanting to test object arguments, now that will save me 10 seconds per run. Now I can leave Whitehole open and reset Dolphin/load a state whenever I make a change. Takes me 3 seconds!

Hello,

I'm new at Whitehole, I have enjoyed it very well but now it can't start it!
From the unzipped Whitehole folder i'm starting the .jar file but everthing it does is making a log file named "hs_err_pid.log".

I have runned Whitehole two days ago whiteout any problems. I will hope that Whitehole will work for me again soon.

(I have already downloaded Whitehole again but it helps nothing!)
