I don't care what anyone thinks. THIS. GAME. WILL. BE. AWESOME!!!
The E3 trailer had me doubting since it looked really mediocre and it looked like a NSMB2 style version of 3D Land, but this shows what it truly is. From what it looks like, THIS IS A TRUE 3D MARIO GAME!! The environments and levels look like something straight out of Galaxy, and it has tons of unique and creative ideas. Also I especially love the story. The story of this game is the most original story a Mario Platformer has had since the first Super Mario Galaxy (in fact this game's story looks far more creative than SMG2's). Finally there's no rescue the princess... Finally there are no repetitive bosses.... The new Power ups are really unique and creative. and... BOWSER HAS A FUCKING TRUCK!! (No more silly clown car. Looks like he's finally back to his serious self). I also love the world map design, since it's not linear like SM3DL, or SMG2 (YES SMG2'S MAP IS LINEAR. DEAL WITH IT). This is really original. So anyway... THIS GAME LOOKS F***** BEAST! It's not a shame to the 3D Mario series nor does it look bad compared to the others. HATERS GONNA HATE! (One has to be a really bitchy fanboy to not admit that it at least looks GOOD)  ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy. Wow. Holy Fucking Shit! Yep MM720, Haters Gonna Hate! Super Mario 3D World will be awesome.
FINALLY. A new trailer. I swear those soccer ball bombs/football bombs are based on the durian-like soccer ball from Super Mario Sunshine and Mario Strikers too. The baseballs, which we already knew about, are reminiscent of the Super Sluggers games. And I think Bowser has a truck-like car and it resembles Wario's car from Mario Kart: Double Dash and Wario Land: Shake It.  . It actually is not as linear as Super Mario 3D Land's, which is literally a straight line.)I am totally fine with the linearity of Super Mario 3D World, as long as there is no Super Mario 3D Land 3/World 2. Though I guess it could be cool if Super Mario Galaxy 3 comes out in ten to twenty years but just not right now or in a few years. I am still waiting for an open-ended 3D Mario game such as Super Mario Sunshine 2, something like Super Mario Star Road, or something conpletely new/different. Also, some of the levels do have open-ended aspects. There are also new gimmicks like cloning Mario/Luigi/Peach/Toad and "shadow sidescrolling platforming". Overall, I think Super Mario 3D World will be a great game. I predict that most or at least many reviewers will give this game a 9/10. This game looks GODLIKE and what a real Mario game should be. Has what we love, yet feels so innovative at the same time. I don't want my hopes up too high, but god... I need to get a Wii U. ;__; ____________________ Yo-YO, let's GO! The PSI Prodigy! (SSB4 Ness Combo Video!) |

It looks good, but I don't really think anything of it because I generally lost interest in new Mario stuff after so many disappointments. |

I'm not ruining anything, I just said i'm generally not that excited for the game. Sheesh. It looks good though.
Edit: Just rewatched the trailer, and I can't say that the game doesn't look freaking badass, but i'm just still a little irked over the whole disappointment of the first trailer. |

My dissapointment has almost been entirely reversed. The music seems orchestrated, all the best powerups from 3d land are back, and the new cherry powerup looks awesome.
Im gonna give this game a chance. Glem was right. They had better do away with the 8 direction thing though... ____________________

Those levels look awesome. It also looks like the levels have name. Bowser's Bullet Bill Brigade, for example. That castle level has tanks for the very time in a 3D Mario game.

You guys keep saying I hate it and you're completely wrong, I don't hate it. I just am not greatly excited for it, to be honest I just don't care about it. It looks good for people who are still with the series though. And of course i'll still buy it and play it. And that's what counts. |

The Mega Mushroom has been confirmed. If any of you recall, Super Mushroom in Super Mario 64 DS turns Mario into Mega Mario but the Super Mushroom in this game already turns Mario into Super Mario.
In the full group artwork, Boom-Boom and Pom-Pom are riding a train consisting of a Bullet Bill steam engine and flatbed cars.
