Okay I know I know I know, mm720 has a design for this, and I'm sorry for interfering or whatever my crime may be. It's just that I had a lot of unused ideas and was itching to design this. I actually wanted to before mm720 started his, I just didn't because he was doing it. But now that I've seen it and he's away for months unable to edit his, I figured I may as well give it a shot.
So here's my design. It currently only has 4 planets and a fifth will be added. Atomic Clock GalaxyStar 1: Time flies when you're microscopic So obviously this galaxy's theme is atoms/molecules mixed with clocks and time and whatnot. Almost everything that's animated will be moving very fast, such as clock hands, electrons, etc. This mission will focus on using the time switch that slows down time. Planet 1: This planet is quite simple. It's four atoms floating that aren't connected. The idea here is to connect them, forming a molecule. Each atom is a small round planet, and when a task on that planet is accomplished, a retextured vine will sprout, looking like a metal pole. This thick metal pole will connect the atom to the next one, allowing Mario to reach it. The first atom will have 3 helmet goombas to defeat, while the second will have ground pound stumps, one of which makes the pole appear. The third has bouncy collision and will have floating lines of coins and a ? coin to make the pole appear. But be careful, as two amps are moving quickly around the atom. The last atom is like the first, but will have 5 helmet goombas that when defeated make a launch star appear. Planet 1 art: Planet 2: This is where it gets a bit tricky. Mario lands on a rotating gear (these won't be rotating very fast) that is also spinning a smaller gear. Ahead of him is a path of beat blocks, but they are switching very quickly (every other tick in the music) Luckily on the gear is a time switch, making time slow down along with the beat block switching. Mario quickly but carefully gets by the beat blocks and reaches a flat clock. This clock has one hand spinning very quickly in circles. This hand is electric and will shock when touched. In the center of the clock is a blue time switch, again making everything slower. Not only will the hand slow down, but a moving platform that was originally too fast to hop on is now slower. Mario hops on and dodges some amps on his way to the next section of the planet. A small clock platform sits in between two pillars of beat blocks, each of a different color. On the clock is a time switch, making wall jumping possible. This will take Mario up to another small clock platform with a line of 4 beat blocks ahead. Then first 2 are green and the last 2 are yellow. Two electric pendulums swing quickly back and forth, making it too dangerous. However, there's another time switch on the platform, allowing Mario to cross with care. The last section of planet 2 uses pull stars. Three atoms, unconnected, are floating in a jagged path. Using pull stars, Mario can get from atom to atom. The first atom has 1 amp, the second has 2, and the third has 3. The pull stars are placed so that Mario must walk around the planet to be able to reach the next ones. This continues until the last atom, where instead of pull stars on the other side, a launch star exists. Mario launches to planet 3. Planet 2 Art: Planet 3: Mario lands on a small rotating gear, right in front of a giant rotating clock. The clock is sideways, so it seems like Mario must walk on the side of it to get across. However, the clock is rotating towards Mario, so he wouldn't be able to get over. With the magic of a time switch on the gear, Mario can get over the clock which is now rotating slowly. There are still amps though, so proceed with caution. Mario lands on what appears to be a clock molecule. It's 3 clocks lying flat connected by two thin bridges. Here's the catch. Chomps roll down the path you want to cross, and when they're on the small bridges, they are too big to avoid. Using good timing, Mario must cross the bridge when a chomp isn't present, then wait on the next clock so he can go around it. This sounds complex, but it's simple when you understand it. After crossing the clocks, Mario sees two floating clock hands spinning extremely fast. Using a time switch on the last clock from the previous section, Mario can use the hands as bridges to the next section. A 1up will be placed here somewhere along the hands' paths. In the center of the two hands is a small circular platform with a time switch just in case you ran out of time. It is also necessary for the next section: More beat blocks! These blocks are in a fairly simple path, and follow a sort of pattern. The first two blocks are yellow, the next 3 are green, and the next 4 are yellow, meaning increasing difficulty. Cross these beat blocks and you'll get to another rotating gear. In front of that is a single clock hand like the previous ones, but instead its rotation is vertical, meaning it's not "flat". Using a time switch on the gear, Mario can get on the hand as it rotates, elevating him up to the launch star. Off to planet 4! Planet 3 art: Planet 4: This is a simple 2D planet. Mario lands on a small clock that's facing the screen. (Think of the digga leg planet) Two amps move quickly in circles around the clock. Mario must walk around to the other side while hopping over amps, taking him to a pull star. The pull star pulls him into reach of another pull star. There is a large Bohr Model to his left, and the electrons are big and small amps. There are 3 layers of amps: The first has 6, 3 big and 3 small, the second has 8, all small, and the inner layer has 2, both big. This actually follows the rules of a Bohr model, and I believe makes the element sulfur (fun fact). Using the pull stars, Mario goes through these layers of amps to the center, where he walks around to the other side and pull stars his way out to the launch star Planet 4 Art: -Hp9 |

Assuming the time switches affect beat blocks, I like the use of those. Like previous designs, some bigger, more fleshed out planets would be nice to have.
...and a Francium atom that explodes on contact would be fun ____________________ |AgentSplaturn| if someone uses an external hard disk to store porn on |AgentSplaturn| is it their sex drive? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) |skyluigi| agent that's one of the best quotes I've ever seen on this IRC |

All we need is some water and that francium idea is a go xP
But about the big planet thing, I agree, and planet 5 is going to be bigger (that's been the plan) It may be 2d as well |

I think Planet 1 and part of 2 don't fit. Boring planet and random beat blocks.
To be honest, IMO you should just add some of your planets to MM720's design. There are some good ideas, but not really enough. ____________________ Burrow Base design- Text complete. The beat blocks are fun
And erm, how doesn't planet 1 fit?? It's a molecule .-. |

For the record, I've always been able to change my design (But im still unsure what to change. Glem3 never told me exactly WHAT to change and cosmo only said that he wants it to look like his desktop background).
Anyway if you really had that many ideas you could just have suggested that we cooperate on the design or something... Anyway I dont have time right now to read through your design, but it looks good on first glance. ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy. So, um, I gots two little ideas here...
Basically number one is that you do a bit more stuffs to get to that first Time Switch. Basically you land on this first gear, and the Beat Blocks are next to it but are too fast, so you go the other way. The gear where you started is part of a group of sorts of gears of different sizes connected in a shape that sort of forms a tunnel, with pendulums to make the platforming harder. At the end Mario flips a switch on a platform, and the gears switch which way they're moving. This allows Mario to reach some little places hidden behind some of these gears that he couldn't before and he collects five Star Chips. They make a Sling Star back on the first gear that launches him up a bit onto six gears stacked up, with each smaller as you go up, like a layer-cake or something. Also each one is faster and moving in the opposite direction of the last. There arelots of enemies. At the top is the Time Switch. Once it's hit, you just jump back down. Yeah... Number two: this could go somewhere in planet three. So there are some atoms floating in the air around a clock Mario is standing on. They are clustered into three groups of one, two, and eight. So the hands on this clock can be moved to the next number if Mario spins at them. If you set the clock for 1:28, you can move to the next section. So that's it I guess... |

Just because he's banned doesn't mean we can't use his few good ideas. Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

Yeah, but it just seems...akward. And that big anouncement at the front page doesn't help too much. ____________________ Jesus why was I here |

Posted by Luigi#1 The intro made sense back when it was in context. I think it should be a level more focused on platforming than exploration, and that's exactly what this did. I'm actually liking this design more and more! Yes, what MoreCowbell did was stupid, immature, and counterproductive. But this design is good. And that's all anyone should care about. If he was a douche, fine. If his design was good, use it, or at least some of the good ideas from it. There's no real reason not to. Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

I have an important question. Are we even allowed to use his ideas without his permission (or does the fact that he posted them here automatically give us the right of using it?)? I'm curious.
Also I have a design for this too y'know people (and I still haven't gotten any specific feedback other than "a few things need to be changed" without actually specifying what those "things" are ): https://kuribo64.net/?page=thread&id=850 ____________________ Former SMG2.5 Advertiser and one-time Level Designer/Artist - So Apparently Norway is rich while Denmark and Sweden are happy. Posted by MarioMaster720 I'm pretty sure the fact he posted them here means we can use them. It's not like YouTube musicians where we have to ask to use their music; he made this for SMG2.5. Status: It was really, really fun, guys - thanks for the ride!

He has also allowed us to use it, after his ban. He said so
Also I personally say that someone could pull out a better design. ____________________
