Mega Man 1: Its good. At its time, it was great. Gave players freedom of what stage to choose. Also, its hard.

Mega Man 2: Some say its the best, some not. Its great, because its easy for newcomers in the series, longer than the previous game, and the awesome music of course

Mega Man 3: Same as MM2, except even more better.

Mega Man 4: Where things started to go donwhill...while its not bad, its meh. Seen this before feel. But equally enjoyable.

Mega Man 5: Same as MM4, but the meh feel is stronger. But its still good nonetheless.

Mega Man 6: Better than 4 and 5, but not as 2 or 3. Introduced new gameplay mechanics. Lots of split paths makes this as a nice bonus to replay it again.

Megaman & bass is pretty cool too.
It looks almost the same as MM8 (even 2 robot masters appear there), but the level design is better.
Best version is in the SNES, since the GBA is meh...

Also about MM5 crappiest weapon, the gyro attack wasnt the only useful weapon. The crystal eye was nice too in compact areas Also the star crash is one of the best shield weapons, because you can throw it, and run around it. But yeah, all the other weapons are meh.
