Simple.

1) Open the level in Whitehole.
2) Follow Whitehole's readme, and use common sense.

I put it as a layer H object (Purple coins are on Layer H).

Here is a screenshot:

And the files:

Edit:
My only successful object placement was putting a Starshroom at the beginning of sweet sweet galaxy, (already has Starshrooms in it), only one layer, star, and zone.

Is there something like sprite sets in NSMB, for Galaxy?

I'm going to ask Skawo.
Because I have seen him make videos of hacked Super Mario Galaxy.

sprite sets make no sense in a 3d game
Just add the object, and play it. It's that fucking simple.

What controls, which objects appear in what star or area?

What the hell...?
Just add the object, and load it through riivolution.

Stop making it complicated.

What's wrong?

I asked a valid question, if you are not going to answer it, stop replying.

Your question doesn't even make sense in the first place.
What controls, which objects appear in what star or area?

Don't you mean the assigned layer?
When you place an object, an Option for a layer is there. The letter corresponds to the mission it's in.

And what differance does the object number and the assoiated zone make?

The number and zone don't matter.
