This.

This this this this.

People need to start reading around and find it, instead of making another dumb thread about a topic that's already been discussed.

1; Look around the board for a tutorial somewhere.

2; Look around the board for a tutorial somewhere.

Also I don't think there are any SMG1 Custom Levels out there, I tried to make one but it was too tedious.

You are right about my text question.
But I assure you, there is nothing on SMG1, as starlight said.

1. How do I edit text?

It's impossible.

There are AT LEAST a hundred XMLs lying around this site and the internet. xD

It's impossible.

Depends on which text.

And there's always the possibility of hand-editing the message files.

Well this is about SMG1, and AFAIK it doesn't use MSBT at all. It uses BMG something, and chadderz' tool doesn't work with it.

Yep, it uses one of the 587465464 different BMG formats Nintendo made.

It can be edited with a hex editor if nothing else works. Strings in there are Unicode iirc.

I completly love on how you aren't even looking around the site to find what you want. Everything isn't handed to you on a silver platter. So, look around for it :P

Sorry, I mean I have got the XML. But it doesn't work. What have I done wrong with it?

Game ID is SP4, not RMGP01 or whatever you put

better yet, leave the id tag out. It's optional.
EDIT: Oh, and try adding recursive and create params to the folder tags, like this:
<folder external="/riivolution/SMG2.5Demo/AllTargetAddressMap" disc="/AllTargetAddressMap" recursive="true" create="true" />

I have removed the ID tag
and added the recursive and create tag,

forgot about those two

I will edit this post/ double post, if it works.

Thankyou :)

EDIT: It worked thanks

I have opened the file in a hex editor, yet there is no recognisable text?
Is there some setting in the hex editor, or some value I need to find?
Any recommended hex tool?

EDIT:
I'm stupid, I haven't decompressed the ARC.

EDIT2:

Still can't find any text other than level names!
