A RVLution user named MalStar1000 is making an add-on pack for Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii that will essentially be NSLU for Newer. I would be skeptical myself, but he actually is editing the levels well, has made P1 Luigi, and REPLACED MARIO WITH WARIO! :o

I think that he intended to use Newer's maps, like how NSLU used NSMBU's maps. I could be wrong, but I just interpreted the opening post that way. :P

Well, it sounds interesting, however, the levels showed so far are, honestly, meh & dull. If they want to catch with newer, they will need better level design. (take for example, that barrage of hammer bros. looks really bad)

I would be interested in this project if it wasn't planning on copycatting Newer's maps and stuff. I have no problem with reusing some content/storyline/whatever, but blatant and direct copycatting... blah.

Also, as I state on the board:
True, we want this to be a sequel to the original Newer. But, in a way, the recent sayings around the board show that this is almost a direct copycat. I'd hate to say, from what I've seen already, it seems like it.
So I would rather if we used different world maps, and such for the final project, and not exactly what Newer had. This has potential, but we don't want to become complete copycats.


Plus, I plan to remake the whole trailer again, because the current one doesn't look so good.

That seems that will be the case. If they want to be somewhat different from newer, they need new worldmaps, however koopatlas hasnt been released yet. And also, making 130 levels that are newer-quality will sure take a lot.
But it shouldn't take as much as newer did, since they only need to change levels and worldmaps.

IDK why it needs new world maps, I was just thinking it would be like NSLU ((Have the same world map as its parent game). Plus, it would save you time. :P
