Hello! And welcome to the collab between myself and Polari for Ground Growth Galaxy's first star!

Note: Seriously sorry! I apologize for the image sizes. I had no idea they were that big XD
EDIT: If you want smaller pictures, the imgur album is http://imgur.com/a/sRERh#0

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Planet One

You start on a desolate spherical planet, a similar size to the flower-sprouting one in Supermassive.
Mario walks around the surface of the planet, sprouting up plants and flowers along the way until a sproutle vine appears to take him to the next planet.
The vine will appear back at Mario's start location.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Planet Two

This is a planet shaped like a disc, covered with grass.
There are pirahna plants and flipbugs on this planet. On one side is the spot where Mario lands,
complete with enemies and a question mark coin, that releases 10 coins when made contact with.
There are 3 Piranha plants on this side, along with 3 Flipbugs and 2 Purple Pirahna Plants.
They shouldn't be a problem.
On the reverse, floaty fluff, guarded by 3 Pirahna Plants, which Mario must use in order to traverse
to the next planet.

In this area, Mario will have to dodge several Choppahs on paths if he wants to survive.
It's not really long, it's about the length of the floaty fluff section in SSL's custom cloud level which I forget the name of.
The Choppahs move side-to-side and up and down, and hitting one probably means a "Too Bad!" for our protagonist.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Planet Three

The diagram is a bit messy on this one. It's very hard to draw the interior of a planet, you know.
Anyway, planet 3 is a reasonably-sized grassy spherical planet.
This time, Mario will have to grab a Spin-Drill, and dig into the interior of this planet.

Once he gets out the other side, he realizes that it's water, his arch nemesis, so he drops his drill because his shoes aren't waterproof and the water is freakin' cold.
In the interior of this planet, this is a starbag which the planet can kill for a high amount of starbits, and there is a ground-pound switch.
Pounding it will cause flowers to bloom on the exterior of the planet, but that's not all.
An orange pipe appears to take the player back to the exterior.
Since the planet has bloomed, a launch star has spawned.
Mario will have to get there, but also taking care not to bump into the procariously placed Piranha Plants and Spiked Plants upon the surface.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Planet Four
Right... this planet is a little tricky to follow (especially due to the oh so amazing artwork) but bear with me.

CHECKPOINT FLAG
This planet is grassy, aside from a few patches which are dirty and desolate.
Mario has to find all the desolate patches and use the flowers to revive them.
It is a two-sided planet, meaning Mario lands on one side, but can only get to the other with the spin drill which he finds near the landing point.
It's very similar in size to the two-sided planet in Spin Dig Galaxy.
There are five spots to revive and Mario must use the drill to get to them.
Once this is complete, a launch star will appear.
There are pirahna plants, flipbugs, goombas and choppas trying to impede Mario's progress, so he'll have to watch his back!
Getting hit by any of these will cause the loss of the spin drill, which means Mario will have to start the section over again!

The following images are of planet 4. It's quite difficult to follow, so I have provided both the original reference image and a colour coded image.

Planet Five
This final planet is probably one of the biggest in this galaxy. It's more like a bunch of seperate mini-planets, though.
The final planet consists of five mini-planets, three approximately the
same size, spherical and slightly smaller than the first planet.
The last two mini-planets however are... different.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mini-Planet 1

Mario lands on the first planet and meets his good pal Yoshi! Flower
grapples take them both to the next mini-planet. The flowers are
directly opposite where Mario lands, and there are eight spiked plants
spread equidistantly apart from each other (or as close as they can be
to equidistant :P)
This planet is desolate... for now.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Flower Grapple Section, complete with COMET MEDAL

In between each flower grapple (there are four in total) is a Choppah
that moves up and down. Mario has to time his grappling correctly in
order to make it past.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mini-Planet 2

Mini-planet two consists of Yoshi eating various fruits until he finds one containing a sling star, which takes him to mini planet three.
Around this planet are many flipbugs.
Also on this planet is another Yoshi egg in case Mario loses him :3
The correct fruit is at the top of the planet from where Mario starts.
The Yoshi egg is at the bottom.
The planet is grassy and full of life ^_^

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mini-Planet 3

The sling star takes Mario to mini-planet three.
There is a ground pound switch surrounded by a forcefield.
Mario has to defeat all three purple pirahna plants on this planet to get the key that will unlock the shield.
As well as large purple plants, there are also small plants that will be place intermittedly between the larger ones.
When Mario ground pounds the switch, mini-planet 1 sprouts with life and flowers and a sproutle vine appears (on mini-planet 1).
As well as this, a sling star appears on top of the switch (on mini-planet 3), which takes Mario and Yoshi back to mini-planet 2.
There is no Yoshi egg on mini-planet three.
This planet is also grassy, but has trails of mud on it.
This gives Mario an advantage if he is still on Yoshi.

Mario and Yoshi use the Yoshi flowers that bridge mini-planet 1 and mini-planet 2 together, being careful to avoid the Choppahs.
Mario dismounts Yoshi and climbs the sproutle vine to mini-planet 4.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mini-Planet 4

CHECKPOINT FLAG
The fourth mini-planet is akin to the size of the small planet in Boss Blitz Galaxy before Mario fights Fiery Dino Pirahna. There is a luma shop on this planet :D (not shown in the diagram, strangely)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mini-Planet 5: Major Burrows
Mini-planet five is Major Burrows' stronghold.
It looks very similar to his planet in previous galaxy games, but it has been covered in a lot of mud.
Mario will have to tread carefully to avoid being slowed down.
There are also more spiked plants on this top of the planet, as opposed to the bottom.
Eight in total.
The positions of these plants will be decided later, but the majority of them will be on grassy patches, meaning Mario will have to be extra careful.
There is a Yoshi egg on the underside of this planet to help Mario clear up the Spiked Plants, or manouvere on the planet easier.
Yoshi cannot actually fight Burrows, however, as he lacks the ability to ground pound.

(NOTE: It needs to be checked as to whether Yoshi can hit Major Burrows with his "bite" attack.
If this is impossible, the Yoshi egg will be removed.)

Once Burrows is defeated Mario and Yoshi (or just Mario if he's feeling cruel and abandons his friend) collect the STAR!!! :D :D :D

Major Burrows with mud on his planet? That's brilliant, yet I now hate you :P

Looks nice! Can I model this one?

You can give it a try if/when either cosmological or Glem3 approves it.

...

Wow, that is one of the most extensive designs that I have seen! Too bad I can't do something as spectactular as that. I can see this being approved in no time, Geo and Polari!

Edit: I see that the design has Spiky Plants. In the drawings, they look similar to a spinning Twirlip. I think maybe Twirlips could also fit in this galaxy.

Twirlips, huh? I guess they could fit here... but the only place I can see where there'll be enough space would be planet 4. The rest are all spherical or disc-shaped, and I'm not sure how Twirlips would act upon that kind of terrain.

Unless an enemy uses a path, it's pretty much guarenteed that it's affected by gravity.

In that case it could add some well-needed difficulty into the galaxy...

I dunno. Maybe. We'll see what cosmo/glem says.

Twirlips apparently do use paths. But there are enemies on paths that are effected by gravity. Look at th Diggas on Spin-Dig's 1st Star.

From what I read and seen in the design, it already has its own difficulty so more difficulty may not need to be added.

Maybe Twirlips can be incorporated into a different ground-themed galaxy. Or perhaps star 2 of this galaxy (which, if this gets approved, will probably be a prankster comet)

Hm, I wuv it, and I suggest that the comet be either timed purple coins, or a daredevil.

I'm thinking timed, since Purple Coins was already done in Gusty Garden and Daredevil Major Burrows...With the modifications to the arena... *_*

I was thinking timed also. But one akin to galaxy 2 where you have to collect the clocks to extend your time rather than a full-on time trial.

Yeah. It usually stops the player from using shortcuts, which makes is harder, if there are any good shortcuts that you always use. I remember how I always used shortcuts in Sky Station...I ended up actually forgetting how the level was really suppose to play out.

This seems kind of easy and boring...

Also the art is kind of bleh
There's more we can do with this galaxy
