Instead of whining that I couldn't do anything, this time ive actually tried to make some test models in Maya with the skills I have. Everything i'm gonna show here is really crappy and nothing i'd call good.

But I aim to improve my skills because the only other person on this forum who uses Autodesk Maya is Glem3 and his models are absolutely spectacular. Nearing the quality of Nintendo's own levels.

Bubbly Tree Test

Two primitive looking bubbly trees. I'd liked to learn how to make leaved trees further down the road.

Snowman Test

A crappy snowman....yaaaaay

So i'm learning by the the small numbers, but still learning. If anyone wants me to try some things to improve my skills, i'm open for requests. I don't think i'm ready to create any approved planets though.

Shouldn't really need a thread.

But yeah, you're off to a good start ;)

Hmm, those tree's look smooth! ( just wondering, but did you merge sphere's for the tree's top?)
Just keep experiment in maya, watch tut's and soon you will become great at modeling.
