I've been trying to import a model of Waluigi's head that I got in Sketchup over Luigi's head in Super Mario 64 DS Editor and New Super Mario Bros Editor. Earlier, As a test I imported the Waluigi model over a tree and it worked and imported fine into the game, but when I try importing the Waluigi head model over Luigi_head_cap.BMD in Super Mario 64 DS Editor, it doesn't work and the game always freezes. Here's a video of what how I tried to replace the model and then how the game froze: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wLTazLWQiw if anyone knows how to import the model the right way I could really use the help, thanks--- Wario

The problem is probably because of the animation files. When you import a model there's only one bone on the model but the original probably has more than that which are referenced in the animation file. When the game can't find those bones, it crashes. You need to "Decompress with header" in NSMBe any animaiton files (.bca) that involve Luigi's head. Then, open it in Hex Edit and set the first 2 bytes to zero. If not try the first 8 bytes.

Also, this should have been asked in the sticky thread "SM64DS Editor Help Thread - Post your questions here".
