Alrighty guys, haven't done one of these in a while, but I figure it's time to start designing again! So, without further ado, time for Sunken Satellite Star 1...

Star 1

The Shocking Submerged Spacecraft

Part One: The lake

Mario lands at point A where he is surrounded by a circle of star bits. He has one way to go: in the lake. Here he will need to find five star chips to make a launch star to continue. They are hidden in and outside of the lake, and he will need to find each one. His hunt begins, and he is immediately drawn to the one in plain sight on the panel of the satellite lodged in between the walls of the lake. This satellite is half underwater and is too large to jump onto. However, there is a pipe up there that can't be reached. Anyway, right now Mario wants that chip. It is in between two electric fences and above it is an amp moving left and right. He grabs the chip and is ready to continue.

He sees to the right of him a large eel that is swimming in circles. It appears to be guarding a small area of coral. If Mario can get by this eel, he'll notice that amps are moving in and out of the tubes of coral. However, a closer look will reveal that two coral tubes doesn't have an amp inside. One coral instead has a star chip inside, while the other has a 1up. Mario now has two and can move on.

He'll notice a treasure chest sitting in the middle of the lake. He also sees that in a pentagonal wall of electric fences lies a shell. This fence goes above the water, go it can't be passed. However, Mario does see a diving board-like ledge at point C. He can't reach it but realizes it can help him get the shell. He moves on to point B by hopping up rock ledges sticking out of the wall. He goes up and sees 5 piranha plants, one of which is a big purple plant. If he beats the purple one, he'll get a chip. However, if he beats all 5 a sling star will appear, taking him to point C where he can dive into the pentagon or even grab a comet medal. A blue bird enemy from Fluffy Bluff will be there to make his life harder. Inside of the pentagon, he can shoot the shell at the chest until it opens, revealing a chip. This will trigger a sling star to appear inside the pentagon, shooting him through the air through a line of star bits and back in the lake.

Now with only one chip left, he decides to search behind the satellite. He has two options: The left or right side around. The right side has a fence sticking out of the dish (like a signal), so he takes the left route. Realizing this route is blocked off by a rock, he goes by the eel again and takes the slightly more difficult right route. He gets back there and sees that the chip is under a panel of the satellite. This chip will have amps circling around it, so it must be grabbed carefully. If it is, the launch star will appear at point A, taking Mario to point D.

He'll land on top of a climbable tree, underneath a ? coin. This ? coin will reveal two rings of coins surrounding the tree. Two amps will move through this circle to make it harder to grab all the coins. Mario slides down the panel of the satellite (similar to the beginning of slimy spring) and has to hop over two fences on his way down. At the bottom will be a sling star that will directly shoot him to the pipe. He goes down and into the sunken satellite...

Part Two: The Satellite

Coming soon

So that's my design so far. Let me know what needs improvements or changes and I'll try and do part 2 soon.

Looks nice, but you should elaborate on what the atmosphere and background should be like.

Title: "Spacecraft" and "Satellite" do not really match :P. "Electrified" sounds nice though.

Art: Is the lake going to be bigger? Because the art is nice but it looks a bit like a random clutter. Thr objects shoukd be spread farther apart from each other.

Design: So far, so good but I still think Fizzlits fit in more from Piranha Plants. But maybe only the Spiky (purple) Piranha Plant should stay since Fizzlits are purple. (A hint: the "blue Fluffy Bluff bird" is called a Flaptack :3.)

Yeah maybe I'll make some less cluttered art at some point

I like it, but I'm not really all for the electric fences. Maybe they could be used to block specific areas that are going to be used in Star 2, but right now, I think that we should make our own models and give them electrifying collision.

It wouldn't be obvious though that they are electric :P

But I need to ask, is this galaxy supposed to be at day or at night?

I'm thinking a bluish evening sky

actually, that might not be bad, considering that none of our water galaxies are to be set in evening.

Let's start off with the negatives and gradually work our way into the positives :P

x - Everything looks all cramped in the diagram. I suggest, if this is to be finalized, putting a greater distance between each object :P

x - The design feels a bit... messy. Perhaps a more structured organized written piece would help illustrate this better... or close ups of each section of the planet... or drawings from different perspectives or something :P Because I just tl;dr'd on most of it. So a more presentable design would be lovely ;)

x - That satellite is brilliant. I think it fits this galaxy rather well and the shape and design, of the whole planet really, is very good :P My only worry is how to prevent players from entering the satellite before collecting all star chips... but that can be worked on later :P

x - Overall the positioning of the star chips seems sensible and looks quite reasonably challenging as well.

I am looking forward to the 2-D portion of your design :P

That might be a record for most :P in a post.

And yeah I might try and make the lake more organized and spread out

Remember small yellow sparks could used, like the ones on Amps.

The best thing to do is to probably make art for different sections. Thst way, the distance between objects can be emphasized more. Remember that the planet should be huge ;).
