Yeah, having them moving and having to backflip because it's too high to jump would be super disorienting.
I do like the idea of having other rides themed around some Mario enemies. We could get creative, IF YOU GUYS MAKE IT SO.

I have seen since years ago that Bowser's Inside Story has a Blooper fountain. The octopus ride could be a Blooper ride, the roller coaster is a Bullet Bill or Koopa coaster, and clamcups like Pinna Park but the carriages based more on the SMG1/2 clam enemy.

Actually, I was planning to have a fountain of Mario in this, and we could also have a cannon something in here. Maybe even a precision minigame with the tornadoes or something.

Cannons and tornados would definitely fit in a linear level. I can imagine a mini circus in here also but with linearity.

Edit: OK, I may be saying this too much, but Bouncy Snakeblocks could be one if the rides here. Plus, they work in a linear level.

Nah, the tornadoes are even stretching it a bit, it's supposed to be Mario themed, but also be what you expect a park to be - bright and colorful and appealing to the eye.

The "park" should be broken up into bits like the concepts in Sky High and Fearsome Factory. I know it is a bit difficult to think up of a linear level with an amusment park, but it can be done in sections.

... you guys really aren't getting this whole outline thing. Here's an example of what I want:

Star 1 (linear level hopping from planet to planet, this has already been decided): Starts on _____ planet, moves onto _____ planet that ______ mentioned, then you use a launch star/pipe* Glem3ans of travel to get to the ______ planet... etc.

No more new ideas at this point, some new ideas might sneak their way in later but for right now, no new ideas.

There isn't. Unless the designer wants there to be, but this is just supposed to be a giant amusement park.

Well, it depends on whether Glem3 insists on the linear part, but ashe's inactive right now...
The park could have "minigames" with an NPC explaining it, to win 100 coins used to feed a Hungry Luma to make a Launch Star to the top of an unfinished ride. Like, a cannon minigame with coins in the air, or a snake block minigame, again with coins to grab on multiple blocks.

I don't see how a Minigame could be programmed easy...

If we want to take the easy route, we could do a hungry coin luma (100 coins?) as Mario must collect all the coins at the amusement park. The secret planet could be an unfinished ride, as we could create some interesting platforming with that in mind.

I think it has something to do with switches. Like if you collect 10 Coins, Launch Star appears.

It will be more of a passive objective rather than a actual minigame, really. That's why it is a "fake minigame".

Nah, I think we should just stick to using challenges (pseudo-minigames) and rides. Enemies could make chslkenges such stomping Paragoombas to cross.
