I know text requires HEX editing, but how many digits? (2, 3, 4, ect...)

2 would be: 2A

3 would be: 02A

4 would be: 002A (etc...)

Um what do you mean exactly?

If you mean how many hex digits each character in SMG texts takes, the texts are probably unicode, meaning they'll take 4 digits. Not sure though.

SMG2 uses big endian UTF-16, but you don't need any hex editing, just use msbconv. I haven't really looked into text in SMG1, but iirc it uses BMG files, which these tools can handle.

Msbconv isn't very user-friendly, Is there a tutorial somewhere?

No, but feel free to ask questions if there's something you don't understand. And, it's a hell of a lot more user friendly than hex editing.

How do you extract MSBT files from SystemMessage.arc? I want to edit them but I SZS Modifier won't open it.

EDIT: WiiExplorer saved the day. Thanks for the present, Mega-Mario! :)

You're welcome :) Glad it serves a purpose, since it didn't reach its initial goal...

What was it supposed to be? A replacement for WiiScrubber? Well, it certainly does many things better, if not all.

Yeah :P My only complaint is that it looks a bit dull. I suggest some kind of background

Yes. And it doesn't support Wii ISOs, which is why I say that it hasn't reached its goal yet.

This is also going really offtopic. Back op topic now.
